78K Trick Limit?

Okay, I was doing the 78K trick in a PvP world, it was at first working great, getting average 300K every run. Now, 10 times or so later, I'm getting about 30K each time. Here's how I do it:

Player 1 is getting the drops.

• Player 1 brings 78K to a hotspot in a PvP world.
• Player 2 meets up with Player 1, and he has 25K.
• Player 2 attacks Player 1.
• Player 1 attacks Player 2.
• Player 1 and 2 both log out.
• Player 1 and 2 both log in.
• Player 1 turns Protect Item prayer on.
• Player 1 kills Player 2.

So, I'm asking, am I doing something wrong, or is there like a limit to how often you can do it?

 

Are you making the fight a good one? Stand in a hotzone for a while too.

 

Yeah, I said I was in a hotspot. Be more specific about how to make it a 'good fight'? I just 1 item with a DDP++ on Player 1.

 

A good fight doesn't last like 10 seconds. Draw it out a little longer, it makes a difference.

 

Yeah, try to make it look like both of you tried. Bring a bow and some junk arrows, switch around from melee to ranged. Make your opponent use different prayers, make sure you both have some food and potions.

These factors really make a difference in getting a significant drop.

Use flower's or Windstrikes to increase your drop potential, every 1 hr kill each other 3 times. Works a treat .

 

I'm flower fighting right now, probably 30 mins, let's see if that does the trick

EDIT: Didn't work at all. 30 mins of fighting then I killed... 17 addy arrows and 4 lobbys....

Try wind striking. I think an actual attack will give you a bit more of an edge. Of course, flowering is certainly effective, but the game may want different attacks for better drops. It is a game, a weird and unpredictable one at that, who knows how it calculates what the drop ratios are. Good luck and keep us posted on your attempts.

-Also, you may want to try breaking off the flower fight for like 10-15 seconds and then do an actual fight. Maybe just punch/kick and have melee protect on. THis will provide a pretty long fight that could look a bit more realistic to the game.

 

when i do it both the accounts have 77k i will bring a d scim dds and a set of good pking gear and then on the dieing account i just bring the money food and a weapon ive gotten a mage book doing it and i fight the other guy and once he runs out of food i pull out dds and spec him

 

I was hitting almost every time with the flowers.. I will try prayer next time, but I potted and ate too.
I will also try your 2nd idea. Hope it works

 

you should both try eating and using special attacks and smites its how i got a dragon full helm.

Hmm, well, honestly I have no idea. All you can do is keep trying. I think if you work at it long enough, it will pay off. It is a really effortless method, just try to have some fun with it and experiment.

 

Try different things in the fight to mix it up, eg ice then dds spec then whip etc. Also get acc 2 to eat and spec back and etc, so have acc 1 eat aswell. This will simulate as if it was a real fight between two random players. That will helps lots.

Also make your hotspot the Wildy if you can, as the best drops I've seen happen there.

 

I agree with Rage, from what I have heard, the wild does provide better drops. Just be careful to not to wander into multi, that will not end well :-s

 

Ok, I 134/2/24G3 I is talking about specs and etc, should he bring something with a spec thats over 25K and cash or just the weapon?

 

You need to stand in pvp spots for a long time..Stand in a hotzone for about 30 minutes then do trick 5 times.. repeat.
