The account with the game activated on it will just have the game removed from the account & in most situations the account may become disabled.

 

Do you know how long that takes before they do that?

 

It depends when the original owner of the credit card tell his bank to charge back OR open a PayPal dispute.

For some this is few days, for other... few weeks. My longest gift takes ~58 days to get revoked. People know that after the 60th day... there is no option for openin' dispute.
