    Beware

There's people on Sythe that are involved in a trade and after they've traded, they claim that their MSN is hacked when it's actually not. They run away with your money and they've basically scammed you. I've seen a number of these cases happen and just want people to watch out.

Another scam I've seen is that there's 2 parties wanting to trade, but one of the parties ask a trusted member to PM the other person to verify that they're "trusted." Don't fall for it.

    Just letting you guys know.

    Beware

I have seen this as well. To avoid the second one, request that the member pm YOU first, then you will respond.

    Beware

Isn't the first one pretty common? And could you please explain in more detail how the second one works, It didn't really make any sense after reading through it 2-3 times. Thanks <3

    Beware

Player A and Player B are trading. Player A has scamming intentions and asks Player C, a trusted member, to send a PM to Player B. Player B thinks that Player C is Player A but really isn't.

Player B gets scammed by Player A and Player C gets the blame.

    It's happened to me.

    Beware

So basically the player about to be scammed gets a PM from the trusted member, making it seem legit. So the remedy is to never PM anyone first, just repond to others Pms

    Beware

Well, this can be an issue too. If you're going to PM, make sure they include the MSN of the party you're trading with, just to make sure it's actually them.

But if the player PMs you, and you respond, how is that harmful? There is no way they can try and fake a PM from you or anything.

    Beware

Depends on what you say on the PM.

If you say "It's me" then that's dangerous.

But if you include your MSN and part of the actual convo, and what you're trading, you should be fine.
