Im in LOVE with my bestfriend...

Hey guys, starting out...

I'm 15 years old, and a sophmore in high school. Last year i met a girl, a senior..and we sat at the same lunch table and it was pretty clear we had an instant connection, from the beginning i knew we would have something special. By may last year, she told me that she liked me and i was quite suprised because i thought we were just really good friends. And i was talking to another girl at the time and i said well im talking to such and such so we should stay friends. I knew she took it the wrong way because she wouldnt text me anymore or answer my calls, so one day over the summer i was at a football game and she was there with another kid from my school and it was pretty obvious that she was "Talking" to him. So me ignoring it just went along with my life and said screw it, a month later she called me asking to hang out..So i said yeah why not, we ended up hanging out for most of the day and she drove me home because she was going to hang out with another "Guy friend", he ditched her for another girl and later that day she showed up at my house and drove me to the mall, it was a great day. But around a week later i found out she was involved with another guy, which kind of pissed me off. Then she left for college for 3 months, we became really really close even though she doesnt live in the same state anymore. Those 3 months were pretty bad for me because i would always think about her and what our "relationship" would be when she returned in December...Well in December she returned, and we instantly had a connection... One day she drove me to the mall and in the parking lot she was talking about alot of stuff and she told me loves me, after some talking we were making out in the front of her car. It was so surreal because i didnt think we would have this kind of relationship, Every day we would go to my friends house and chill, whenever my friend would go upstairs or whatever we would be downstairs making out and other things, life was good for a few weeks. She left again in the beggining of january, and i learned before she left she had hung out with a guy at 2-3am and she had kissed him. I flipped on her and she would always say oh i love you and that shit, "The day before i left i cried all day, because i knew if you found out you wouldnt talk to me anymore" is what she said. And she's been trying to reconcile with me for a while but i just really wont have it. She'll be back this summer and im not sure if i want to keep things going with her or just end it because i know she wont stick to one guy (If she hasnt changed)... (She's 18, btw)

tl'dr...should i keep this "relationship" going, or should i end it?

B. I know how you feel mate... I am also in love with my Best Friend, or well I wouldn't call her my best friend but one of my close friends.

C. Honestly I would end it. You're still in High School and she's away in college, in another state right? I don't know how well that is going to work out in the long run mate. She already hooked up with another guy... I mean if she was drunk, maybe the guy lead on to her and her being drunk kissed him. It really depends mate, if she was completely sober and knew what she was doing I'd honestly dump her mate. Sorry I hope I helped.

 

Thanks mate. As I've said she has been trying to apologize for what she's done but im pretty sure if i never found she would've never have told me. Lifes a bitch i suppose.

I'd end it with her. I've done the whole long-distance relationship thing, and even though we were together for three years and now we're living together and engaged, it's HARD. Extremely hard. And it takes a whoooole lot of commitment from both sides- something that it seems like she doesn't have.

If she's going out with other guys in the wee hours of the night without telling you, and supposedly doing things with them.. she doesn't seem to committed. And if it's what Phat said, she was drunk and a guy was leading her on- then it seems she's not too responsible either.

You're only 15 years old, you have all your highschool years ahead of you. Trust me, you'll find someone. In my opinion, she'll be nothing but a fling when she comes back in the summers.

This is similar to my situation, except we're closer in age. Unfortunately, as Vallory said, she's too far away and having fun at college for you guys to be in a serious relationship (which I assume you want).

Maybe if you two go to the same college, then the story will be different.

If you're looking for something serious, than break things off with her. If you're looking for something loose and unattached than stay with her. Don't get your hopes up too high or you might be left heartbroken.

Just... End it with her, it seems like she has made a habit of cheating/finding ways to piss you off.

 

Keep it going. If its what you wake up for every morning then yes.

 

I'd suggest try and keep it going, if she really is pissing you off tell her, and how it's making you feel. If you cannot do that as she'll go off on one then you've got no choice but to end it.

Well, Ive been in a similar position like you.

Theres no point trying to keep something going with a girl if theyre just gonna hook up with another guy if your not there.

This is my opinion but in the end its gonna be your choice, whatever I or other individuals say should not greatly influence your decision at all.

listen to what we say and then make a decision for yourself.

Keep your distance. Honestly, if she is your best friend, you WILL end up friend zoned, and totally fucked and make things awkward.

 

I'm not in the friend zone, way past it. but distance kills.

 

I read this whole thing and sorry man that sucks but reality check is she might be partying every week at college and you're just going to be the guy at home.

IMHO, I wouldn't trust her.
