Paypal Help - Urgent -

I recently received this email from Paypal. Do any of you sellers know if they strictly enforce this rule?

The deadline Dec 3rd is coming up fast so I need to know if my rules need to be changed.

I would think it has something to do with people with some kind of personal accounts sending you money? No idea. Your best option would be to just call them and ask them.

 

I'd just follow the rules and blame the past on mistakes.

Just up your prices to accommodate the new charges.

 

Ive always had people send as gift/personal payment on my business paypal. Never got that email before.

Both of you are posting answers off the top of your heads and neither of you should be answering other peoples' questions.

 

It's just a friendly reminder that you're breaking the terms of service. You're lucky they didn't just limit your account or suspend you. This is why you should not accept payments as gifts, and I would recommend you respect their policy immediately before things get worse.

Yes, they strictly enforce it. I think the only reason you got that message was because your PayPal is verified, am I correct? Otherwise it would be limited.

 

My Paypal has never been limited, and I recently verified it (Thursday).

Paypal and I have a good relationship, but I suppose blatantly violating their ToS is a little too far.

When I first started up my pin selling business, I received mass gift payments and was limited shortly.

Take payments normally as any normal purchase, or if you have a big business, set up a site and a check out.

I'm lucky to have not been limited these few years. Just withdrew the majority of the money into a bank account.
