Simple Update!

I forgot my password yesterday and thought i'll just request a new one to my registered email.. But unfortunately this feature dosen't work.
(Remembered it now.)

I've looked at the disputes forum, and moderators are having to do the password resets manually.

So by updating this recovery system to work it would:

• Save Moderator Time
• Make the site better
• Easier for people to recover their accounts

It's not often that active members forget their password. I don't really support this.

It's a basic feature that should be working on the website.

People who return to the forum after a long period will need this feature.

 

I took two year-long leaves from Sythe, and I remembered my password.

 

What about people who have been hacked and want to request a password reset to their email?

Don't be a jerk D:. This feature should work. I didn't know my password for the longest time, I just had it saved in FX, and only logged in when it knew my password. When I came back after being unbanned, I had to get it reset because the feature wasn't working...

The forgot password thing is also a security risk, though. If someone knows enough about sql injection and vb 3.6.4, then they could pretty easily get someone's reset password link. Still have to go through another loop, but it's possible.

It also puts a bit of strain on the server with all those emails... but, it is a necessary feature when it's necessary.

 

We're aware on the issue and I'm sure Sythe is already working on fixing it.
