Do you think range is over powered?

I was just thinking, like when i go to pk, i see more rangers getting more kills then mele/mage, also the reason i think range is overpowered is the following:
Rcbow = 20k? - can hit up to 60 with the right bolts
Hand cannon = 200k Can hit massively you within 2 specs.
VOID - D BOW- 1.5m + Time for PC- Can max 48-49.

If you look at that compare to mele..
DDS- 45 [hella hard to get ahold of]
God swords-30-130m. Arma, bandos, sara, zammy.
Dragon scimitar- 120k [kind of hard to get ahold of]
barrows- need the full sets.

That's just my opinion..

It's fine. Godswords are overpowered; not range.

 

Nope, they all have their weakness.

With the Dark Bow, you only get one spec; yet with Arma Godswords you can hit double 70's? Range is def not over powered.

 

Range tbh is better than Melee because you don't have to do all that switching crap and still hit those nice 60s. You can risk like 200k and hit there whereas Ags is 120m and you hit a 60 spec-___-

But it's not like one is overpowered, the range option is just better to welfare in.

 

If you know how to use it right any side of the combat triangle can be "overpowered".

 

I don't think you understand how much in the end; Rune Arrows, Dragon Arrows, Onyx (E) Bolts, Dragon (E) Bolts will add up to. You spend about the same on Range as you do on Melee. When you die with a GodSword you keep it, when you die with 10 Onyx Bolts you lose them.

 

Mage is definitely the priciest though since you can't recover the runes.

Range is pretty weak IMO.
Melee is overpowered with dragon claws and godswords.

 

That and its fairly easy to stop,it can be useful but does the least damage of all 3 when it comes to pking tbh.

 

But nobody, unless you're a "clan barrager" fights with JUST mage.

 

Not only that but antifire potion protects you from dbolts, what do godswords have besides prayer?

 

Range is not overpowered, it's just how you see the prices imo range is pretty cheap.

 

No Range is not overpowered D Claws are. For sure.

 

Everything is overpowered in its own retrospect. No reason to complain.

 

yeah i do agree, but range is cheep, and hits almost as high as a 120m+ weapon [ags]

 

When you train range however you can get 99hp 99 range and 99 def and be lvl 100 or so but with melee you can't have all those stats at that lvl. Once you hit a specific point at about lvl 102-105 melee starts getting more powerful. Anything under that range tends to be more dominant because of how you need to train att and str not to mention defense in order to fight while range you can train just range or range and defense.

 

Range is under-powered IMO.
A rune c'bow, sure it's cheap but doesn't hit that high very often.
D-bow, costs 1.5mil and if your specs fail then gf. You have to walk around with melee protect and protect 1 item because if you don't you will get 2speced from a dds/g-mauler/godsword and d-claws.
Hand cannon, very slow and could easily be killed with it. Don't pk with one :
