Paypal, claim and cancel?

Hey guys, was wondering how you know if someone has in fact claim and canceled. For example, I want to sell someone something, but to ensure they dont dispute funds, I ask them to claim and cancel first. How do I know that they have done it? Thanks

 

Have them send it as a gift.

 

There are several things you can do here.

You can ask them to send it as a gift like jimmy stated. I prefer this method, it's the fastest and easiest. But if you insist on doing claim and cancel then keep reading.

Firs thing you can do is ask them to take a screenshot of the page that tells them they have canceled the dispute with you, basically ask them for proof that they canceled. This would probably be the fastest way.

The other option is for you to verify it yourself. Let him claim the payment, then go into your resolution center and check the status of the payment. Then ask him to cancel his dispute, refresh the page and see the state of the claim he made, doing this will tell you if he canceled it or not.

 

People can dispute funds whether or not you ask them to claim or cancel. The safest way to protect your money is not ensure that they can't dispute, but to make sure that they won't win the dispute.

It all depends on the nature of what you're selling.
