    Can someone help me pre algebra paying $2

    I'm paying $2 by alertpay for this help..

    I have to find the x and the y intercepts...

    Then I have to make a table for them

    Then I have to plot the coordinates on a graph which I know how.

    Can someone help me find the x and y and make a table with the values so I can plot since the graph has to be a parabola or something like a u shaped.

    I need help with these

    y=x^2+4x-1

    The a=1 , b=4, c=-1

    y=x^2+x+4

    The a=1 , b=1 , c=4

    Thanks please contact me once your done or post here and send me your email by pm.

    -b/2a is the turining point of the parabla. Then get 3 or so other points.

    you should have a graphing calcluator. Press y= button and type in the equation. Then press second and y= to bring up the table. I'll answer it soon.

    I just posted it but it didn't go through sorry. I'm on my phone so ot is frustrating.

    turning point is -2

    so

    x | y
    -4|-1
    -3|-4
    -2|-5
    -1|-4
    0|-1
    1|4

    I forgot how to do the 2nd part

    Just buy a Graphing Calculator, it can do all of that in two seconds.

    For real, save $2 and a lot of time by just spending $50. You'll 'need' it for higher maths anyways.

    I'm currently taking Algebra 2 and I've used a graphing calculator since like Pre Algebra.

    I thought you were trying to find the slope at first I'll try to solve it.

    The x intercepts of the first one are 0.24 and -4.24. The y-intercept is -1 (obvious since when x=0, -1 is all thats left)

    The x intercept of the second one are non-existent, since the discriminant is negative (complex solution). Again, y-intercept is simply setting x=0, so it's 4.

    edit:

    Table of values for the first one:
    x y
    0 -1
    1 4
    -1 -4
    2 11
    -2 -5

    and the second:
    x y
    0 4
    1 6
    -1 4
    2 10
    -2 6

    etc

    Was that directed toward me or kamaka

    Acknowledging that the discriminant is negative is a quick way to find out if it has x intercepts or not.

    y = x^2 +4x - 1

    make x = 0

    y = 0 + 0 - 1

    y = -1 when x = 0

    now make y = 0

    0 = x^2 +4x - 1

    Now use the quadratic equation -b +-the square root of b^2 - 4ac/2a (that looks worse then it should, if you dont know the formula, google it)

    now sub in "a" "b" and "c"

    Dont have a calc so your on ur own there, Remember to do twice for both values of b+ and b-

    This will give you your x values when y = 0

    And how is that learning? graphics calculators are illegal in exams.

    Your logic is like saying look in the back of the book for the answer, He isnt after the answer, he wants to know how to find it.

    No wonder american kids are getting dumber. All you are doing is typing the question into your calc and getting the answer, A retard can do that.
