"Added" Posts.

Lately, I've been going around the Market place, and I've found that quite often, many leechers, or post count-whores simply reply to a thread saying "Added".
I believe that this should be considered spam, and if it already is, archive this thread.
I just feel like these people aren't even serious about buying/trading for whatever the enlisted sale, or service is being up for grabs.

 

Most aren't, they post on the thread just to get their post count up. The sad thing is most of the time they don't even talk to the guy or add him.

If people post on my threads saying "Added" or the like and they do not decide to use my services (or whatever it may be for), I report the user for spamming my thread and have them infracted.

I already see it as against the rules, and that is why there is a place to report users for spamming, so I would encourage you to do so.

 

I actually make posts similar to that occasionally, but I do not do it just to raise my post count. I simply do it as a confirmation that I am trading with a person or have added them, so I can later use it as proof if the person decides to scam me, or so they know I'm the person who is talking to them on MSN.

However, you can specifically state for people not to do that on your thread and if they do you can just report them and they'll get infracted accordingly.

 

It'd be alot easier to tell who's spamming or who's legitimate if those who are actually currently speaking to the person say something along the lines of;

"I am currently speaking to this person on MSN."

or

"I am [email protected], accept my add."

It could be enforced, right?

 

they do that instead of sending pm which is stupid. i agree with all of this. even though i make similar post they still have more info in them

 

Well, there is nothing wrong with notifying the person you're speaking with, who you are on Sythe, but if need be, at least say:
Your offer
Your Addy -(So they know it's you)
Just to clear things up, and so that you stay on-topic with the thread.

Yeah, I agree.
When people post "added" on my thread they are most likely new to Sythe. They don't know it, so it's alright for me. I don't see a problem with it. Except if you see 10 "added" posts right after each other, of course.
But the people who have posted "added" on my thread also did add me so it has nothing to do with post count in my opinion.
