How to Play Poker - One of the most complex card games.

Hello!

Welcome to my first ever guide which I am writing to you straight from my brain.
First of all lets see what you'll need.

• 1 Deck of cards
• A chip set
• A table (preferbally a poker table)
• A few friends

So the first thing what happens is the followling.

The dealer deals everyone 2 cards each. If you have a good hand you should either check, bet or raise. I will explain ALL of these in greater detail in a minute.

You do need a game plan for poker. Say if you have 2 Aces (or "Bullets"), yeah its a great hand, but if you bet hundreds at a in one bet, most people will fold. Leaving you with hardly any profit.

Now, heres some explanations of all the different terms in poker.

Fold = Drop out of this round. You only fold if you have a bad hand, but sometimes its good to play on for a while.

Check = Check means you don't bet, nor fold. You simply stay in the round, but don't bet any money. However, if someone else bets, you are not allowed to check.

Call = If someone bets a certain amount, you can call it. In other words, match that amount on the table.

Bet = Self explanatory

Pot = No, its not that type of pot This pot is the total amount of money up for win.

Now lets show you some good cards to get.

A A - Possibly the best hand you can get
K K - You should defiantly call
Q Q - ^^
J J - ^^
ect..
The list goes on really. Theres loads of different combinations for you to win with!

Now lets see what happens when everyone at the table has either bet, called or checked in the first round.

The dealer now deals out 1 card in the middle of the table.
Say if the card that comes out is an Ace. And you have 2 aces already. Thats the best hand you can get so far!

The dealer then deals out another 4 cards.
The better matches you have, the better chance you have of winning.

There are also different hands such as 7 High which means you have an all the numbers up to 7.
