RS vvia Touch Screen -> Ban?

Okay so, I have this convertable tablet/laptop, Lenovo x220.
When using touchscreen, mouse jumps from spot to another without smooth human-like movement.

Is Jagex's bot detection stupid enough to get me banned because of this?

 

Possibly, personally i would not risk it on anything you care about, if you really want to use the tablet, id play on a noob account for a wile and see what happens.

 

Surely you can't tap exactly the same place every time, which is something Jagex look for.

 

It's more than easy to make bot click random spot in a circle or square.

What is hard as hell, is human-like cursor movement.


Anyways, anyone have any experience about playin rs with touchscreen?

Any windows based tablet owners here?

 

No you won't get banned for it.
Bots use the same motion over and over again clicking the same square multiple times over and over again.
In short you should be fine.

 

How can that be true? if you are skilling you are constantly clicking in the same area. imagine alching, your always clicking within that square or else you would not be able to alch. Your logic is flawed.

Like another poster said when you skill you click the same areas. (Damn it didn't see that the above poster used this example as well)Think of high-alching as a basic example. You click the same spots over and over in a repetitive motion. Its easy to make a clicker click a random spot in X area much like a human. The harder parts are mouse MOVEMENT(x1, y1 to x2, y2) and other human like behaviors(randomly checking interface, randomly moving camera etc etc).

 

A good amount of rsbuddy scripts did not try to emulate human mouse movements or even a mouse. Most of the fletchers and firemakers just clicked on the logs and then the TB, like a touchscreen and there were a very few bans on those scripts.

 

It's been said a hundred times before: the amount of bandwitdth that would be necessary to track the mouse positions of over 100,000 players at any moment is massive. In order to do this 24/7, it's basically impossible without pouring a fortune into the servers. They won't ever notice your account just based on its mouse clicks, bot or not.

 

You may be repeating the same motion, but you will not click in exactly the same spot. There will be slight variations as a human hand only reaches to the object, not an individual pixel.

 

You will not get banned, unless it is the same repetitive clicks EVERYTIME

 

Client-side detection for beginning and if it detects something, data is sent to server for analysis?

 

I been playing RS on my iphone without problems for months

 

I'm not very familiar with RS2's client but its possible to have client side monitoring that can send some sort of data(average mouse deviation/other mouse statistics) server-side for analysis.

 

The chance of getting banned are going to be extremely small, for the people that do bot and do it 24/7, they don't get instantly banned for it. You arent playing Runescape on your tablet for 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Also I wouldn't think that you would put 100% effort into skilling every time you play Runescape and mimic your movements for hours on end. I wouldn't worry about ban

 

They do, but from any practical standpoint the algorithm that determines if they submit your accout for viewing does NOT include if the mouse "scrolled" between two points or instantaneously jumped. It might register the pixel coordinates and how long in between clicks, but the path it traveled is just absurd.

 

Umm yes.... He is right. You cannot get banned if your pattern of commands is different.

 

I think you're safe brah.. I'd like to play Runescape on a touchpad..
