7 ways to catch a scammer

Hey well in this guide i will be explaining how to prevent yourself from being scammed and also how to find out if your dealing with a scammer. Due to the fact that the "user education" forum is gone I'm now bringing out my 7ways to catch a scammer guide!

7 ways to catch a scammer:

    1.

Always make sure you know who your dealing with, scammers act on impulse, meaning that they won't attempt to scam just once, they will try to scam as many members as they can. A good thing to do is to get them to PM you on the site so you can check them out, this way you know what your dealing with.

    2.

"the ive got to go soon scammers":

Basically these are very well known scammers, they will make up excuses to get you to fall into the scam, usually making up some story that they've got to go soon and don't have time for MM's. Never fall for this.

    3.

"MM's are dangerous and are scammers"

Now this is an obvious scam, a member of the community adding you to basically scam you, the'll make up some fony idea that they don't like MM's because they've had bad past experiences and that all MM's are scammers.

    4.

"members claiming there trusted with only 1 post"

These are usually members of the community who will join one community just to scam, they will make a few posts and then add everyone in the black market and one by one try there thing, attempting to make you go first by claiming there trusted.

    5.

"you have to go first scammers"

These are members of the community who won't go first and won't use an MM, they have there heart set on one thing and thats scamming, now if you have a member of the community with 2000+ posts and Mod rank then yes they are classed as trustworthy but you should always use an MM, these members are the kind who have 10 posts and just want easy cash.

    6.

    "adding fake MM's"

Now this is a very dangerous one if you aren't very strict, some members will be working together in order to scam you, e.g. one playing the "mm" and one playing the buyer/seller, a "fake" MM will be added into the conversation and the other member will try to trick you into using this fake MM, making you believe its a real MM.

    7.

"i'm a trusted member of the community"

Now this one can go under the lines of pretending to be an official MM, but this time pretending to be a very trusted member of the community, trying to trick the buyer/seller into going first inorder to scam there money. This is a very popular scam so be careful!

Once again i hope this guide has helped you, and you now know some more ways of stopping and catching a scammer.

    Thanks.
