How to make friends in a new school without feeling uncomfortable.

Alot of people think that to make new friends, you have to get out of your comfort zone and walk up to people and say "Want to be friends?" but in reality, thats not how it works.

This is a short and simple guide on how to make new friends with a few techniques.

1. The Loner: On your first day at a new school, what you're going to think is that you'll never make friends, but, this is what you can do. Find someone at a lunch table who sits alone, ask if you can sit with them, and talk to them. They might not talk to you on the first day, but over time, they will get used to you being there and begin talking. This is a simple way to make your first new friend. Later, if you realize this person is "cool" they will most likely introduce you to some of their friends. (Who might not have the same lunch period as them, there fore can't sit with him)

If the people this person introduces to you are some people who do stuff you don't like, such as (smoke, drink, drugs)
politley say you've got to go to class, and associate with them as less as you possibly can, but on the otherhand, if you like to do those things, hang out with them!

2. The Clicks: All schools have clicks. The popular, athletic, gothic, outcasts, skaters, and randoms. Aproach the types of people who are more like you, so you don't feel odd.

Say you're a outcast, don't aproach the athletes the first day, try and talk to the people more accepting such as the skaters, randoms, and outcasts. This will make it alot easier on yourself.

3. The Ride: You will meet people on the school bus, (if you ride one) which will get used to you and talk to you. This can result in getting accepted by many types of clicks if you talk to the right people.

4. Be yourself: People don't like fakes, posers. So just be yourself. Like I say, "Be you and you will make it through."

Simple.

You should't generalize by saying "All schools have clicks." because that is not entirely true; my school has no "clicks".

Most of the guide is common sense, but it is ok for younger students.

Every school has people who like to do different things, resulting in clicks, a click can be 2 people, so say you have 1,000 people in your school, i can gurantee at least 2 people like to be in a group of their own. So every school has clicks.

 

My school has 70; but that is besides the points. You are still generalizing.

On topic. You should make the numbers different from the text as it would make it easier to see.
