Earth, Life and what comes after.

    Hey all!
I somtimes when I'm laying around, I think about what happens to a person after they die. Do you believe there is a place described as Heaven and or as Hell? I've heard about some patients who were in clinical death or and barely survived something have spoken about a shining place kind of like an empty field.
    What about Reincarnation?
I've heard some stories that many babies tend to say stupid things like they were a big elephant and such and their parents think their little kid just doesn't know what he / she is talking about. But what if it's true? Could the explanation of one being attracted to its own sex or the true obsession felt towards an animal or a race? Could it be related to that?

    Ghosts:
Many people have claim to have seen ghosts, many paranormal detectives claim they can speak to ghosts or have seen paranormal activities many time throughout their life. Do ghosts exist? If so, how can you know from all the places - that have meant something to the ghosts - which one will he choose?
Is it just an other conspiracy and a good idea for some people to make money?

    Heaven and Hell:
All the religious people (I'm an athiest btw) claim that many people go to heaven etcetc. There are two things I was thinking about and couldn't find an answer to. First of all, let's say Heaven and Hell does exist. Does one reach it's own destination in either Hell or Heaven as in a form of a spirit or as in a form of the race it was during it's life on earth?
Another thing I was thinking about, will Heaven or Hell never get full of spirits or Bodies whatsoever until it cannot hold anymore? I also understand that there are buryings and cremation, but... Let's say its 50%50% in number of people who chose this and that. Will Earth never get filled up with all the skeletons after a time? Will water, oil, or other crutially important sources run out?
Does anyone know the answer to that? Do scientists know it for 100%? I think not..

I personally do not understand this.
In my opinion a human can never truly understand what is going to happen with him or her after his or her existence. It could be just a playground of God to put the humanity to test. But if God doesn't exist... ... ... ?
All of these theories can be true. Opinions please.

I believe that the physical world that exists around me is it, nothing more than that.

As for near death experiences, a lack of oxygen to the brain makes you high.

Well i can't agree with you there, what about people who die and get brought back? people have been known to be dead for a few minuites and claim to of seen things, its probably not logical that theres life after death but it can't be ruled out.

Like I sad, it's completely natural to "see things" if you have an oxygen shortage in your brain.

You can make the same effect by clamping the vein in your neck going up to your brain. I'm not suggesting you do it though, it can be dangerous.

schnell knws im a religious guy but on this fact i agree with him 100% it is totally natural that seeing visions of paradise or indeed the angel of death are due to shortages of oxygen in the brain just like how u see giant rabbits if u take halloucogen drugs....

There is a Heaven. And there is a Hell. Heaven is for all the good people who chose the right choices in the world, and Hell is for those who should be punished.

yeah i believe in god but i also listen to reason and science... it works therefore im somewhat unable to believe in ghosts just as for a short while i doubted the exsistence of God.

therefore i guess just like atheists and the thought of God it would be ignorant for me to think ghosts dont exsist.

    Apologies.

I actually don't have any opinion about what happens after death.
I remember when I was 10 years old. My grandmother was at work and my mother was also there with her. My grandmother had a heart attack that day and just before she passed out she said 'I can see the light'. My mother told the rest of my family what she said and we all knew she was telling the truth... even me.

I believe when we die our conscious is lost but our energy still exists on earth. Let me explain, this is the way I like to look at it. Our energy remains on Earth and will be passed on until the end of the earth. For example, if my body is in the ground for 100 years it will more than likely be rotted and maggot/worm infested. Those worms and their offspring will have my energy inside of them. Those create new life and those create new life. They create soil and grass and small plants begin to grow. The grass is created with my energy and it contains my energy. Animals eat the grass and produce new animals with my energy. Those animals are eaten by larger animals with my energy and they create animals with my energy. So if you continue to look at the scale of things all humans contain energy from other humans. It is one large chain of life but no matter the difference, my energy remains on Earth creating new life every day.

I do not believe in god, nor heaven, nor hell.

Death is the last stage. There is nothing after that. The brain, and all major organs seize to function. There is no soul, and there is no light.

I somehow believe that death is the END.

Isn't LIFE enough for you. think

It's human nature to want more. Nothing is ever perfect, and we crave to improve everything. I see this as a good thing for the most part, where would technology be today if ancient people decided that living in a leather tent was good enough?

This is also why people like the idea of an afterlife. Even as an atheist I can't deny that I want some sort of "paradise" after I'm dead. Only speaking for myself now, I have spent much time trying to make religion plausible even though my current standpoint don't suggest it. I've always had doubts though, and the more I study it the more flaws I find. If there is a "happy ever after" afterlife, then sweet, but I'm not gonna believe in something that doesn't make sense just in case.
