So, let's talk hyrbidding

So, have been doing a lot of hybrid practice lately. I have pretty decent PVP stats for my combat level and pretty much got tired of Edgeville PKing all day. So, I put on my wizard hat and robes and started going to town with a buddy of mine in the duel arena. We're using absolute basics (Mystic, Rune, etc) so we get used to perfecting switches without the gear doing most of the protecting.

I do fine for the first few minutes of the duel, but once the fight turns and he's controlling the switches, I can't get my switches down. I miss 2 or 3 clicks, then my inventory gets fucked, and the rest of the fight goes downhill pretty fast unless I can get a good freeze back on him when he doesn't expect it. Most of it is from panicking.

Against other people, I do OK, but I can tell they aren't that great. When it comes to the wildy, I've never won a hybrid v hybrid fight, but I've also never really had one. Got bossed by some mid level PKer who had massive risk and completely outgeared me. But outside of that, have never really found anything other than low levels.

Is this panicking/shaking shit when risking going to go away in the near future or do I just have to live with it. I'm curious as to if the big riskers out there have troubles panicking when PVPing if it doesn't go exactly their way (as in controlling the other person the entire time).

Also, if anyone wants to practice and give feedback, I could provide some mills if it's actual good advice.

hybridding in the da isnt much like the wild, in the wild you know you will lose your stuff and have some downie risking 30k pj you with a korasi
a good way to keep your invy organized is to do it when you are maging, if you use hotkeys you can mage and move two or more items in that time and mage again

as for the panicking once you get used to it it should go away, just go find some fights in like mystic/rune/dhide 4 way switches and if it doesnt stop after a fre then i dont know what to tell you

 

Over and over my friend. I'm starting my first pking acc and I have to say I'm having fun but can't wait to pk. I'll panic to but my friend says just to practice.
