Prank a friends desktop. D:

Desktop Pranking!​

This will show you how to make someone’s desktop not respond, like if you click on a program it does nothing.

Note: Many people most likely know this already, but I am bored, why not write a guide?

1. First you must get to the computer you want to pull the prank on.

2. Once you are there, take a screenshot of their desktop (Make sure that you have no windows open when you do this) and save it as a 24-bit bitmap.

You should have a picture that looks like this



3. Now in paint, go to file, then click set as background centered.




4. Now go to their desktop and right click it. Then go to view and then click on “Desktop Icons” so you can not see the desktop icons. (You think you can since your background pictures has them. )



5. Now right click on the taskbar and select properties. Check the “auto-hide the task bar” box, and uncheck the “Keep taskbar on top of other windows” checkbox.



6. Now the desktop will not respond and it is kind of funny. But now, hit open Task Manager. Go to “Processes”, and look for explorer.exe. When you find it select it and hit “End Process”.



7. Close task manager and any other open programs, and GTFO as fast as possible.


For even more fun, unplug their keyboard so they can not reopen task manager.

Good guide, I had a virus that kept deleting explorer.exe. God, that was a pain. Lol.

 

happened to my bro too. then mcafee stopped him from reinstalling windows.

 

:\ Most annoying virus I ever had stopped me from opening Nortons. THAT WAS A PAIN. :\

But I'm too nice to do this to a person.

I would like this guide if you post a 'final' picture so we could see the similarity to the first screen. Other then that good guide.

 

I did this to my 10 year old brother. Yea he has his own computer. He started crying. :\. I already knew this tho.
