Degrading Black Mark System

I've been trying to post for some time now on the thread where you can get your accounts unbanned/unmuted and the last post talked about this.

Wonder what this could mean for 10bm perm bans for botting/rwt?

 

Where in the world did you find this?

I think it was somewhere in the forums or in one of the news posts on the main page.

 

Lol, I hope this is true. Some serious suicide-botting may be in order. But, a direct link would be greatly appreciated.

Im pretty sure that is comming some J mod told me not to worry about my blackmarks and check frontpage.

 

It's been mentioned by quite a few Jmods, most notably by Mod Raven back in October in the first account review thread. Interesting to see it's nearly ready though, so nice find.

Andrew Gower mentioned that the new system will work similar to the Driving License system in the UK. E.g serious offences will remain on your license for 11 years. I don't think the actual system will ban you for 11 years but clearly they will make sure that any serious rule-breaking will result in your account being perm banned for a few years. I expect RWT will be considered highly serious, so a ban for two-three years is probably likely. Botting is also fairly serious, but not as serious as RWT and therefore a ban of maybe 1-2 years. The post by Mod Stevew seemed to indicate that the account review thread would still be active after the new system.

I've got a bad feeling that the new system will only work with minor offences. I can't see them unbanning RWT. I'm still trying the account review thread. Persistence will pay off I'm sure.

 

This means Elvemage and R2pleasent might come back =o
