Runescape won't load

at school. The site isn't blocked, but once it gets to "Connecting to update server" it gets a "Error_game_js5connect - Unable to connect to update server."

Could I bring a portable Runescape on a flash drive that doesn't need to connect to the update server?

 

I tried something similar to that before, but no success.
Best method i found was simply just using a proxy.

 

Try the proxy and let us know.

 

They most likely have java/the stuff required to play it blocked. Most schoosl wont block sites, but instead the programs needed to play/run them. My school has youtube unblocked, but the computers aren't able to play videos.

The SITE works it just won't connect to the update server. Maybe if I put the cache files on the computer I'm on it will work?

Java is definitely not blocked.

the problem might be your flash or java. School computers are crappy for a reason, so kids can't play games on it.

There is no such thing as a portable runescape as it is not an .exe file. If it was you could probably load it onto your flash drive and plug it into your comp.

 

I didn't mean portable I meant a portable applet that doesn't connect to the update server. The java works, flash works, and it has a decent graphics card.

 

RSBot = Portable Runescape. The RSBot client has been proven to work on many different school computers. If nothing else, I have the java files on my flash-drive, and that seems to work.

 

i would say use rsbot works for people i know.
