First sig ever, tips please?

comment, rate, give me tips. its my first pic and i made it in paint.net (im familiar with it because my school uses it, i dont like gimp or pshop)

 

It's usually a bad idea to enlarge low quality images, especially pixel figures; you'll always ended up with those blurred edges.

Your color palette is also very muddy. Try to experiment more with the juxtaposition of cool and warm tones, for contrast.

Photoshop can be intimidating at first, but you get used to it pretty quickly. I'd suggest digging up some basic photoshop tutorials, and running through them.

 

the blur there on the larger image was actually intentional because sharp pictures look stupid, but also yeah expanding it made it all choppy.
and i was kinda going for that dark tone, it kinda fits the epicness of 3rd age.

but i'll probably *legally buy* photo shop soon and find some tuts, but that's when i actually have a large amount of time to spend on making sigs ><
