Hey everyone!

During the 2008 December holidays, a friend and myself were rather bored and came up with a really fun contest. We agreed that we each had to make a YouTube video of some sort. The person with the most views and the best rating over a three month period would win.

I thought this was a great idea for the whole community to get involved. Everyone can enter, you simply have to create a video, upload it to Youtube. Post your YouTube username and a direct link to your video.

From the time of the competition Launch 23rd March- 6rd April 2009 everyone will be given about two Weeks to prepare a video. After these two weeks, everyone has 48 hours to upload their video. 6 April - 7 April

What can/cant you make your video about?
For the sake of this video section, you may not make a video regarding RuneScape or any other gameplay. However if you wish to act out your favorite battle against the Amradyl God. Then go for it. -.-
Your video must be a real life video. This means it can't be screen captured, animation etc.

The options are pretty much unlimited, for a horrible/excellent example view the video below.



Rules

[x]You have to make a new account for your video(s). If you already have a YouTube account, your new one can't be related to your other account. Imo this is a better idea because people can't abuse their subscribers in this contest.
[x] You may only upload (2) Videos
[x] Proof of ownership of the video must be provided ( Sythe Username in Video Description etc)
[x] Your video may not be against the Sythe Rules or Code of Conduct nor the YouTube Code of conduct.
[x] Cheating or use of 3rd Party software to increase statistics for a video will result in a permanent disqualification from all future contests
[x] The content of your video must be 100% your own work. ( Friends/Family may help)
[x] Attempting to change the results of any other persons video in a negative way is forbidden
[x] Remember this contest is for the enjoyment of the whole community please keep it fair.

Is there any limit on what kind of video's can be posted, ie Runescape, Cheating, etc. I think it would be better to ban runescape videos, as people will choose that because of its popularity, Is there a time limit?

No, video of any gameplay is not allowed.

 

I'm guessing i can't join that would be unfair.

Ooooo, I'm doing a review soon on a new flashcard of mine for the DS. One of my reviews has over 10,000 views so far, Seeing how I am getting pretty well known in the flashcard reviewing business (lol) I think I might use that as my video.

Sick!!! my friends and i have been planning a robbery scene shot at my house for a month or so now, and now i might just have to finally convince them to make it . hopefully this won't start till after spring breka tho lol which i think i may miss this competition

that was filmed at my house by my bros friend, (well the first scene). sadly a week ago the sound got taken off cause of copyrights


only problem is i got no clue how to plublicise my vid on youtube, i wish this could just be judged on a pole with all the vids and sythe members vote, cause i don't know how to make tags very well

 

It will be before the spring break, but there might always be a second one ^_^.

 

Because i'm partner i would use my girlfriend's account dw i won't enter sounds like a great idea though.
