A Grand Exchange offer update suggestion

Hello there.

All of us here must have at least once got a message come up in our chat box saying: 'One or more of your grand exchange offers have been updated.' Well, my suggestion is, instead of it saying that, it could tell you exactly what has been updated, and how much cash you have won. For instance; Say i'm selling 12 clean ranarr herbs, A message would come up saying: 'One of your grand exchange offers have been updated, you have won: 37722 gp from selling 6 clean ranarr herbs'.

I thought this would be a really good addition to the game, as I know myself that I hate trudging all the way over to the GE when i get that message, just to find 15gp worth of my junk has sold.

What are your thoughts on my idea?

Should say so in the first post lol. Seemed to me like you were trying to suggest something to jagex on a black market site lol. Should say you're looking for oppinions on it.

If you sell something, why would it mean you 'won' the money?

 

I agree with skull, instead of "winning" the money, maybe say you have recieved *money amount*

Well no, it should say won, because the grand exchange is basically like an auction house.
You're selling to other players.

 

You dont need to walk to the GE... there is a collection box at every bank..
anyway nice idea!

 

That is true ..but sometimes you can be far away from a bank aswell

 

Yes because were definetly here to improve runescape? and were jagex?

Back to my original post, I still think it should be "recieved" not "won" because your paying/selling something for full price, your not getting it for free

On the other side, sometimes I like it being a surprise seeing what bought/sold (i make a little game out of it )

Bio, you could try my idea. I posted up a thread in runescape forums suggestions, but didn't get a reply back after a week of bumps..
I thought it was a really good idea, so here it is.

Upgrade the 'ring of wealth', so that when you operate it, your 'collect' screen pops up. It is only a display, not functional, just so you can see what's going on in there.

It's a good idea, but 'won' isn't the right word, more like:

"One or more of your Grand Exchange offers have been updated: you sold 15 Rannars for 15,555 GP."

 

This idea is very good but jagex never pus in the good updates, even if they are simple to code....and you won't get that much feedback on these forums, try the official forums.
