How to reset and iPhone/iPod Touch

I didn't like this guide, very short and non informative. All you tell them to do is "1.Click your main menu and your power button for 6-9 seconds"
I could personally find a quicker answer from just common sence or looking through the first few pages of my Iphone users manual.
