Suspended from School for asking to go to the bathroom..

Sort of a long story so if you're not going to read it, please don't post..

Today I went to school on a day there shouldn't have even been school, due to snow. I go to band and play some music. After band, I head to homeroom and straight after homeroom begin math.

At the beginning of math I asked to get go to the bathroom. My teacher said "No". Then I'm like.. Alright I'll do this problem you wrote on the board and then I gotta go to the bathroom. Did the problem while she was checking homework and I ask her again. The answer is again "No".

I pull out my ID because you're supposed to go with your ID and still "No".

Then a girl asks her and she gets a yes.

I ask again "Can I go now?". "NO". I ask her why and she says "because I said so". Then I'm like.. Sexist much? What are you power hungry? Then she kicks me out and writes me up.

I head down to the vice principal and he immediately says "I don't have time to debate this, I have work to do". I say "Really? Well we're going to debate this regardless because this is an issue of discrimination."

After I try to explain the bathroom issue he says I'm sending you home.

I wait around while he chats casually with teachers roaming through the office and I'm thinking "whoah, a lot of work to do?"

Now I'm suspended until Tuesday just because I was refused to the right to use the bathroom.

On my way out I threatened sticking them with a lawsuit and some press. I'm somewhat considering it but after never being suspended in my life, this is complete garbage.

 

lol sucks for you, are you in middle school? Also you should press charges

 

Oh lord, your sure you were not a little disrespectful their? Your not going to get what you want from barking at them .

 

Isn't that COMPLETELY against the law? Because if any health issues carried o the school is responsible, and they can't tell if you have a health issue or will have one.

 

That school sucks, in all honesty, I think you should transfer.

you did the right thing if i where you i would alert the media and she will get her ass fired. i would have got up and left. she cant tell you u cant use the bathroom if you really need to. she prob has a grudge agasint you.

Well tbh thats dumb but the reason she let the girl go was for "girl issues" if u catch my drift but yea at my school a teacher got fired for not letting a student go to the bathroom cause the person had some health issue

 

What I do is I just walk out and go to the bathroom if its serious, you should have just walked out.

High school senior. They also said straight out "Get me a doctors note if you have a bladder problem".

I was rightfully disrespectful after being told my problem was petty and wouldn't be dealt with.

Tenure would save her from getting fired. If the administration even cared about what went on, they'd investigate the issue.

 

There's nothing childish, I would've probably said the same if I was him.

This sort of thing happens all the time with my History teacher, but he does it for fun and everyone knows it so we just go the washroom anyway.

You should rethink telling the media, an old art teacher at my school was on the newspaper for something like this.

 

Which kind of a person has the right to tell you can't use the washroom? You can even go when you like in jail.

 

Normally I would have. I didn't even get the chance to because she started by kicking me out right away.

I may eventually post the number here for prank calls because it's pissing me off that much.

 

Same problem in my school, except I go to an all boys school. So in one of my classes the teacher is a baseball coach and lets all the baseball players use the bathroom, but nobody else. The reason you got in trouble was because the principal wasn't there to see it and teachers always assume that the student is exaggerating when they're really not. Another thing is that you might always ask to go to the bathroom everyday, if you do that then the teacher will notice after a while and say no all the time to you.

 

I would've been terrified of a lawsuit from a Pro-Zionist Jew. But that sucks, suspensions are lame on your record but fun to miss school.

 

I just walk out when they won't let me go.
