    Question about Christianity...

This question has been bugging me ever since it came into my mind (sunday). What's the real reason for believing and following the Bible, going to heaven or having a relationship with God. Here's a scenario to help you better understand, Would you still believe and follow God if you knew you were going to Hell anyway? Well just wondering your guys opinions... Discuss...

    Question about Christianity...

I'm not Christian so some of the things I say may be wrong. Hell was never described in the Bible nor were the 7 deadly sins. So Hell maybe like what other religions describe it as, reincarnation. Being forced to live again until you can find salvation and become one with God. I suppose there really is no reason to follow a religion. Some people prefer to think of something beyond life and physical form, so they turn to religion as a source of spirituality. But to answer the final question is impossible "believe and follow God if you knew you were going to Hell anyway?". If I didn't believe in God I wouldn't worry about Hell if I did, I'd hope he would be "all forgiving".

    Question about Christianity...

Xane, Hell is actually mentioned many times in the Bible, and the deadly sins are talked about in the Ten Commandments. That's quite an interesting theory.

    Question about Christianity...

I'm not a Christian but I'm a very spiritual person and I have a general understanding of the religion and it's true followers.

Forming a personal relationship with "God" is one of the most beneficial things you can do in your life, it allows you access to information and guidance that you wouldn't have otherwise. I have personally benefited immensely from the guidance I have received from the spiritual realm, in more ways than I could even describe here.

The "Rules" in the bible are essentially just words of wisdom that other people have learned from their own personal connection with God. You don't need to follow them, but I have personally found my own moral system has come to mirror a lot of teachings of Jesus, just by strengthening my connection with the divine.

One thing to remember though is you don't need religion to do this... Religion is simply a tool, it's a good system pre-defined ideology to use as a reference, but following it devoutly is very limiting, and this blind following of religion has been responsible for a lot of wars and such.... There's a lot more to the universe than what the bible says.

    Question about Christianity...

Please understand if I'm taking what you said out of context but I'm only 13 :D , but would that mean that two believers of God can have different moral "commandments" based on their different connections with God.

    Question about Christianity...

Well, Im Atheist. Always Have been and always Will be. Your Question though is a little hard to understand, If i was to believe in God, His Belief Alone Would Make me not fear Death, which is the reason i Believe Religion is in place. So, You would also believe in then how God is all forgiving, And That He Will remove your Sins for passage into Heaven. So I would Believe that If Someone thought they were going to Hell, And were Truly Sorry For the Sins they had Performed. Then there God would forgive them.

I dont know if i answered well, religion isnt something i prefer to comment on.
