Could you get banned on rs from a gold site?

My friend had purchased gold from Gold4RS (don't say that site scams because I also bought gold from them).

He sold an account to them, and then used the money to buy rs gold, then he thought he was smart so he recovered the account back and now Gold4RS sent him an e-mail telling him to give the account back to them or they will tell Jagex that he bought gold from them (with proof ) and then they will permanently ban his account.

So is that possible? Could Gold4Rs somehow have proof that he bought gold from them, and give it to Jagex to perm ban him?

Or is this just something they said so they he would give them back the account? Should my friend be concerned? Or should he just completely ignore them?

 

I wouldn't worry about it. They aren't going to talk to Jagex just for one small account.

If they do talk to them about it, will or can Jagex do anything?

Is it possible for them to contact Jagex about this, or is this just a hoax to get the account back?

 

They CAN do things. But do you really think JaGeX would spend time looking at proof by hand from a company that contributed to them ruining their game?

Anything serious because the account that he bought gold from is a level 124 and he doesn't want to risk loosing it.

Dude, chill. The website is completely bluffing they aren't even going to contact Jagex.

And to think Jagex would listen to a site that illegally sells their gold is ridiculous in itself.

Are you stupid? Of course it can. If you had a daughter, and someone from say, a maternity clinic told you that your daughter was pregnant, despite EVERYTHING, how well you know your daughter, all that shit, you would look into it, would you not? It's exactly the same principle.

Well, he may not definitely get banned, but there's certainly a chance. It depends though, he might as well keep it, and see what happens, if it gets banned, he loses it, but if he gives it back, he loses it as well. Either way, there's a good chance he'll lose it, so why not screw over the alleged scammers a bit? Did they threaten anything else other than attempting to ban his account?

 

I think, if they do tell jagex, the site will get in trouble for selling/buying rs gold and accounts, and your friend's accont will get banned for sellining it to the site, if they tell.

They might actually tell jagex, but doubt it.
