You cant do that because if you use quotation marks "" in google then it can find the exact place where you got it from. Even if you change a few words it will still find it.

    The Secret Life of Bees

Sue Monk Kidd, Sue Monk Kidd was born and raised in the tiny town of Sylvester, Georgia. She was born in August 12, 1948.She discovered her desire to be a writer as a child, listening to her father's imaginative stories.

The Secret Life of Bees was set South Carolina in 1964, during which time there was a lot of racism still in the south.

There are three main characters in this book; Lily Owens, August Boatwright, and the maid Rosaleen Daise.

Lily Owens is a fourteen year-old girl, who lives on a peach farm in Sylvan, South Carolina with her abusive father T.Ray. She grows into a loving young woman who learns that "it's not what's on the outside that counts, but what a person is like in the inside".She loves to write and hopes to one day become a writer.

August Boatwright is one of the women that Lily meets when she and her maid Rosaleen run away from their house. August lives in a house in Tiburon, South Carolina with May and June, who are her sisters. August works as a beekeeper on a farm she got from her grandfather. August and her friends have a religion based around a statue of a black Mary.

Rosaleen Daise is Lily's maid, she worked as a peach picker in the fields of to Lily's father. She becomes close friends with May Boatwright and easily becomes part of the Daughters of Mary religious community. She kept Lily okay, when she was abused by her father.

Lily, Owens, a fourteen year-old girl who lives with her abusive father who is a peach father T.ray she is told by her father that she killed her mother, Deborah when she and her father got into a fight, Lily shot and killed Deborah. Lily is not very sure if she actually killed her mother at this point, or if her father is lieing. Rosaleen soon gets arrested for talking back to three white farmers, she is physically beaten and sent to the hospital before going to jail. Lily soon aids Rosaleen in breaking out of the hospital, all goes well. They enter a new town called Tiburon, and while there they meet a group of African Americans who worship a statue of Black Mary, they call them selves "The Daughters of Mary". The "daughters" are three African Americans, named after months, August, June, and May Boatwright. August invites Lily and Rosaleen to stay although Lily makes up a fake story as to why they are there. August decides that Rosaleen will help her sister around the house and Lily will learn beekeeping.

Lily meets the honey farm helper named Zach, an African American boy on whom she begins to get a crush on, Zach has the same feelings for Lily and buys her a notebook. Lily also gets closer to August Boatwright, and has her as a mother figure in her life, something Lily almost never had. Lily asks May if she ever knew anyone named Deborah, and May said she had, with this Lily is sure her mother was here before. Zach gets arrested for being in a group of people who beat-up a white man, after the sisters learn about this they try to keep this away from May as she is very sensitive, but May finds out. After finding out Zach got arrested, May commits suicide by drowning herself. Zach get set free a week after he is sent to jail. Lily is soon accepted into August community and continues to live with the Boatwrights and lives a happy life.

The theme that was mainly seen in the book to me was The Civil Rights Movement. The way that African American people were treated during the book was absurd and could not go without being noticed. In the South there were separate hospitals, bathrooms, and churches for black people. "Sylvan Memorial Hospital was a low brick building with one wing for whites and one for blacks." Even after the civil rights act was passed the colored people had to still be careful because so many white people still had racial prejudice against them. This is also shown when Rosaleen was beaten by the three white men for talking back to her.

Another way that prejudice is shown is when Lily finds the man who was selling the Black Madonna Honey, "A lot of folks wont buy it' cause it's got the Virgin Mary pictured as a colored women, but see, that's because the women who makes the honey is colored herself." This shows that people would not even bother to buy the honey because of the skin color of who made it.

Lily said "It seemed to me it would have been better if God had deleted skin pigment altogether." it shows that not all people in the south were prejudice towards blacks.

Here you go, simple book, fast report. Just make it MLA format and you have a 2 page paper.
