    Visual Basic 2008 Web Browser! ( Beginners :] )

Hi all, I'm here to show you how to create a VERY simple Web browser coded in Visual Basic 2008. There are guides on youtube and such, but I prefer pictures, and I'm sure others do too. So let's get started! (Sorry if I'm bad, just started learning Visual Basic about 3 days ago).

    Getting Started!

Anyway, let's start by opening up Visual Basic 2008 (Most of you should know how to do that). Next click on "Windows Form Applications" Then click "ok" (See pic1).

    Step 2!

Alright, now lets look at pic2

    pic2:

First, max the project as large as you'd like.
Next, click on 1 (WebBrowser) and drag it across your blank project (leave a little space for the "go" button, and address bar).
After that click on 2, and make a button not too big. Then go to the right panel scroll down until you see "text" then "button1" followed behind it (see pic 3).

    pic3:

Now type in whatever you'd like that button to say (gonna be our "go" button).
Next click 3 from pic2, and drag it so it's a good size (this is gonna be our address bar).

    Step 3! (Last step!)

Almost done! Now double click on the button you made in Step 2, and copy+paste this code (or type it in to get used to it)

    Code:
    WebBrowser1.Navigate TextBox1.Text
Now, click on the little green button (see pic4) and look at pic4 to see how to save as exe!

    pic4:

Alright, now your exe should be in D:\Documents and Settings\(Your User here)\My Documents\Visual Studio 2008\Projects

Then click on the folder with your project name on it, go to bin, and there's your EXE!

Thanks for reading, I'll later show you how to add different buttons, make a tabbed browser, etc.

    Part 2!

Alright, first lets open our project and continue. First, let's make a new button.

Name it back, then double click it and put in the code seen in this pic.

Now, create a new button again, and name it home.

Alright, double click the button and use this code.

    Code:
    WebBrowser1.Navigate(WebBrowser1.Url)
Now, you can add a forward, and refresh buttons too. Just change the ending of the code.

    For example:
    Code:
    Navigate1.GoBack
    Would become
    Code:
    Navigate1.GoForward
    Or
    Code:
    Navigate1.Refresh
If you have any questions, post here and I'll try to help!

I don't see how making a button is quite related to building a web browser. Care to explain where this is going? It's a good start though.
