CS:S Is played alot more because of all the new players dont even know about 1.6. Theres alot of differences between the two, overall source is alot easier of a game than 1.6 is. Counter strike really killed it bring out source, alot of people think that source is just a big graphics update, its not. It is tottaly different to the old cs.

And elf, you dont have a clue what you are talking about. Just because you have played both doesn't mean your an expert on the topic and you know what your'e talking about.

Think of CS:S of the noobs counter strike, whilst the good players that still remain play 1.6.

1.6 Owns Source no doubt about it.

Wow mabye i should have said i OWNED both of them and play 1.6 and source almost everyweekend...I agree source is easyer but that dosnt meen its for noobs, people who play source at the CGS arent noobs i prefer source for its smoother gameplay and overall feel. And by good players you meen the lot of cheap asses who cant afford to buy a 10$ game? because most of the players on 1.6 use non-steam versions of the game that arnt legal.

Dont get me wrong 1.6 is a great game and dose have good players but its outdated and just because YOU might still be old school dont get mad at people who are open to a bit of change.

 

Was the best game i have ever played. My steam currently doesn't work, and i haven't diagnosed the problem yet. Whenever i try to open steam, it says "one copy of steam is already running"...so yeah, its bullshit but w/e
still trying to fix it.

 

close the steam.exe file or maybe it's already fully open and it will be in your shortcut beneath your desktop or w/e
