My name is looberman and im creating this thread because i am a very sad and experienced lvl 130 mother fucker on runescape who knows most tricks and tips on how to train skills, pures, merchanting. Iv'e been playing runescape for 5 years now and am offering anyone who has any ingame related questions the answer to their question. I might not be able to answer your question fully, but i'll try If you wanna add me ingame, pm me for my rsn.​

2. No i dont want this to be stickied.

What do I alch that doesn't make me lose any money.

 

You should probably just post all ways of making money to avoid that being asked. I can assure you 90% of the people coming to this thread will be wanting to ask that.

 

Tbh, you have to craft your nats to gain profit now a days, but i know that if you get air b staff and water b staff less than 9050 then its profit even you buy the nats. There is a cap of 100 per 4 hours on them though, which im sure you know of.

I know an item that makes you loose 37 gp per alch, which means about 6m for 99 mage, but you can get unlimited amounts of that item in a shop. EDIT - Its ruby rings. Buy them from zanaris jewlers for 1015 each, the price there doesn't change. If you buy the nats, atm its 37 gp loss. If you make your nats, its over its over 50gp profit. Btw, one thing to note, the rings you buy are in unlimited stock BUT they come unnoted.

Thats why ill post one of the items i know here so they can read it.

I have a zerker pure(my sig), when should I start getting attack to 70?

Get 70 strength first using ss if you can afford it, but from experience, theres not much difference between d scimmy and ss due to the accuracy factor. After 70 str, get your attack to 70. Places to train:

If you like afking, then bandits. If you want faster exp than bandits then the spiders in the security stronghold. If you have done desert treasure and have a salve ammy, then the desert treasure skeletons. Fire giants in the chaos tunnels arent bad either.

If you use bandits, and use your time to do work/watch a movie, your levels will FLY.

You're better off flipping with 2 mil because its not much to invest with. You should flip items like lobsters, deaths, chaos.

Another tip is, look at a set that is going up, and buy that just keep for a few days and then sell it. E.g.

Lets assume that black (g) is going up 5k a day. Buy it 5k a day and then keep it until you think its time to sell it, just sell at mid and enjoy profit.

Another way is to make sets. But its hard to do that now because the odd item in a set is always being manipulated. For a more detailed guide on investing, read this guide:

One problem with that. Saradomin sword uses 70 attack(i have 60 attack) and I already have 77 strength. So should I start getting attack up now, or wait till 80 strength?

 

My bad, i didnt look at your strength properly. I would just get 70 attack now for definite, there's not much difference between 77 and 80 strength max hit wise. What armour you using and where you training?

Also just as a side note, if you decide to change to a 60 def pure, dont. Thats over 5+ combat levels im sure. When this new pvp comes out, assuming your 90+ str and have decent mage/range, and you own someone who is like combat 120, your reward will be more rewarding cuz youre combat is significantly lower.

I have berserker helm, str ammy, torso, rune legs, rune boots, rune defender, rune gloves. I have +98 str bonus so I hit really high anyways(30 potted, 25 unpotted with d scim at 78 combat)

 

If you've done dt, then defs try out the dt skeletons. You need ring of invisibility. If you wanna make it effective, bring an excalibur with you, combat pots, and guthans.

Otherwise, i would suggest giant spiders all the way. DONT go ape atoll gorillaz.

I'm currently alching maple shorts on my F2P main. I spend around 5M alching in the past few days, and by my calculations I'm going to wind up spending 40M on the way to 99 because I'm too lazy to look up the best alching items.

What's the best item to BUY in the grand exchange and alch with BOUGHT nats in order to get the least net loss? You'll probably save me a few santa hats worth of cash if you help me out

Im actually not too sure, ill do some research in a bit because i wanna get my pures mage up. Ill get back to you later. Rune meds btw, if you buy at 11400, should come in eventually. Thats 131 less loss than maple shorts. Ill try and find you an item that you can get in bulk, because i can understand that g.e slots are extremely precious when you are f2p.

 

If looberman doesn't mind, I can tell you to check the prices of yew longbow, magic longbow, all the d'hide bodies, and all battlestaffs. Just add up the prices of them with nats and subtract the alching price. Ge is different every day so I can't tell you exact.

Edit: Even if you don't want to do this every day, alch magic longs the whole time. You will only lose around 10m compaired to 40m.

I posted ruby bracelets/rings but then i realized he means f2p only.

Ruby rings in zanaris. Not ideal but best item i know at the moment, unless you can air b staffs and water b staffs in large ammounts. If you buy them less than 9050 ea its profit. If you get them 9100, which should be instant 100 every 4 hours, your loosing 51gp per alch ASSUMING you buy nats.

lol i edited my post when i realized. Im actually gona do more research on alching now, f2p and p2p because of the new pvp coming out, im considering getting 94 mage considering mage is my only crappy melee stat and barrage/venge owns.
