Question/Suggestion

I have a question. If someone has say a 200 donator statusand scams someone for 200$ will the person that got scammed get the 200$ back along with the scammer being banned and rank revoked, or does the buyer just get scammed and he keeps the money and there is no compensation whatso ever.

Example.

A 200$ donators said he can mm a trade for say 400m rsgp for 2 accounts. He gets the 400m, he gets the 2 accounts then gets the accounts secured and then runs with the accs and 400m. would the 400m(200$) donation rank that he payed be removed and compensation given to the one that got scammed

I see all these donators, but before i make any possiblty bigger trades that i am considering im wondering if the above is the case. If it isnt i suggest it be moved in the suggestions section

 

No, the ranks are nonrefundable and go directly to the costs of running the website. I can see where you are coming from with that post, but it will most likely not happen.

 

This pretty much defeats the purpose of the word 'Donation'

Wouldn't it be interesting if users of Sythe could put certain amounts of currency onto their file as a "trust" in case they scammed?

 

I can see what you mean, but this wouldn't be able to happen. As Deuce said, the money goes directly to the site.

Also, I might not be reading this correctly, but why would he just get his donation rank taken away? Shouldn't he be banned?

This will never happen, the money is Sythe's and goes toward keeping the site up and/or profit, of course.
I think that to be able to put money into a trust (in a scam the mods decide who gets the final decision?) would be a good idea though!
