I would suggest using an online code school to learn java instead of paying someone to "tutor" you in it for an hourly fee as this would become quite enormous.

These all have small monthly fee's for tons of courses, they come with videos and help forums.

 

Thanks man, I'll give this a shot. I'm usually the type that likes to see what I'm learning, I'm a visual learner.

In that case, you should make RuneScape bots, assuming you already have the basics down. You can literally apply every concept you would learn in a CS class to RuneScape bot writing, and writing bots that you can get instant visual feedback on is far more interesting than making random applications.

 

I might try this with TRiBot. Their API is clearly set out, and shouldn't be too hard to work off.
