another question! =]

Ok, i'm beginning to think I'm doing something wrong... how do you edit .cfg files?? I'm converting them to .txt then changing them, then compiling... but nothing happens.... am I doing this right??

 

What's wrong with just leaving them as .cfg?

 

when i go to open them, it says windows cannot open this file or something like that

 

right click the file -> open with -> notepad

 

ummm theres nothing that says that

 

When you highlight open with, choose the very last option. It should bring up a window with a list of programs. choose notepad out of those. If it's not there, you'll have to go digging through the windows files

 

theres open, but not open with. and then, what you mean dig through windows files?

 

Yeah, just leave them as .cfg, but open it with wordpad instead. I'll show you step by step what to do.

 

thats all it has when I right click. anyone know what could be wrong? i rly wanna edit my server =[

 

Alright, when it says "Windows cannot open this file" Pick this option:

Choose the 2nd option, click OK, and choose wordpad from the list.
