I don't think you realise just how much money fast-food restaurants make. They have thousands of people pouring in to each store all over many countries buying shit in a box for like $10 a meal. I'm sure they can afford to pay a couple of staff members $15 an hour, don't you?

 

ok get it this way ill give maccas as an example because i know it.

They pay staff roughly ten bucks an hour.

to make a cheese burger it costs;
25c a patty
12c a peice of cheese
2c for mustard and ketchup
5c for pickles and onion.

So like 44c to make it.
They sell it for $1.95 each.

They sell what 30 in an hour, so thats $58.50.
Minus the $13.20 it costs to make them
Minus $20 for the errr labour.
That makes $25.30 profit.

I pulled all these figures out of my arse but thats basically how it works..
They wouldn't have a business that wasn't making money, its just pointless.
People spend millions of dollars getting franchises up and running so they wouldn't do that justout of the kindness of their hearts would they?

Its all about the money and of course they make enough to pay the staff and still make a profit.. otherwise they would have closed down.

Wake up sunshine, thousands of people buy fast food. Thousands of people every single day. I think those thousands are paying enough for simple cheap employment - working at McDonald's isn't exactly the highest paying job on earth, I earn more by sitting around doing either nothing (literally) or something that I like doing (programming, computer jobs, and so on).

It doesn't cost a lot to make a cheap shitty burger like that. The cola they use is a syrup mixed with water, which is cutting down again. The fries are often reheated. They make millions on making others fat. If you can't realise just how much money fast-food restaurants are making, then again, learn to work with money.
