My 'Report'

The reason I chose my virtue, humility, is because I figured it would be hard to do. Which, prove quite a challenge. On Saturday I tried to practice it, succeeded once, and failed several times. But I did learn something from this.

So, when practicing my virtue, I turned into less of a smart ellic, for the night that is. It really wasn’t a difference, but it worked out for me. When I got mad that no one knew the plans for homecoming on Saturday night, I tried to be kind and offer other alternatives. This sort of worked out, where we ended up not going to a nicer restraint, and settled for pizza hut. Also, when we were on our way back from lima, to the dance. I ended up having to get gas, but could not seem to move anywhere in the line, inside, to pay for my gas. I tried to just thing positive stuff, but that did not work out. Eventually I just butted in front of someone, and got dirty looks. But oh well, I got out of there.

So, that’s my weekend and how it went down. I really do not think this is a good virtue of me, for the simple fact that I am a very negative person, and im glad to be it. Maybe next time I can try a little harder? Probably not, but its worth a shot.

So, thats the paper that i had to write for english. What is it about? Ben Franklink's book on morals. I had to pick a thing off a list, and practice it. The virtue i chose? Humility. The definition? : # "HUMILITY. Imitate Jesus and Socrates."

So, tell me what you think. Give me things to add on, take out, or just general advice you want to give me. The paper has to be 250 words, its 238 but she said that as long as its not 50 off were good.

Is this a serious essay or a free write?

 

Its about what i feel, so i would say free write.

I believe its for a grade, also.

lol im not changing, the whole thing is made up.

But i had to atleast write the paper to get a good grade :S

 

It's fairly decent, just some minor touch ups here and there.

 

Why is humility a virtue?

Christianity testifies to pride being a sin, but this is based upon no evidence.

 

Shedderbeam there is no evidence on evolution either... so we either came from a higher power (god) or some apes (monkies) i prefer beliveing in my savior god.

Yes, but his essay was based upon Benjamin Franklin's Book of Morals. Franklin himself was a Christian, so humility would have been a virtue for him.
