How to Download and Install Fonts

This guide will teach you how and where to download fonts and how to install them.

First of all, find a font you like. A good place to go, which I use all the time, is http://www.dafont.com. So I'm gonna use the font "Vtks Revolt".
After you find yours, click on the square button to the right that says "Download PC / Mac OS X", as shown.

After that, a window like this should pop up (assuming you're using FireFox). Click OK to open the zip file in WinRAR, or whatever other archive manager you use (a free trial of WinRAR could be downloaded here: http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm).

Next, the window shown below should pop up. Click "Extract To" located on the toolbar on top.

Work your way to the Fonts folder located in C:\Windows\Fonts. Or you could just type "C:\Windows\Fonts" (without quotes) in the address bar highlighted red. Then click OK.

    Congratulations.

    **A note for Vista users**

You may have to do this differently. Follow all of the above steps until you reach the part where you extract your font file to "C:\Windows\Fonts". Instead, just extract it to any old place, such as "My Documents". Then, go to "My Documents" (or wherever you chose) and find the font file. Right click it and click the third option, "Install".

Now, my friend, you have successfully installed a font. :)

Also, yes I know there are easier/faster ways to do this, but I just wanted to go in depth with the detail for people that have no idea what they're doing.
