I just installed a PC game, Populous: The Beginning, but I don't have the CD-ROM for it... does anyone know how to play it without the CD?

This made me laugh, because no you cant! cd holds all the files all installing it did baiscly was make a special spot for the game on your hard drive and put some short cuts read me's and other worthless this but you know what you can do? contact the manufacture and tel them

 

It's actually called a patch. I don't know where or how to get/use one and don't be stupid about things you don't know about. How do you think businesses puts programs on all their computers? They patch them through a network. And besides I'm sure Bullfrog isn't even in business anymore, this game is from like 1990.

 

yeah your probly right best thing to do would be to limewire the whole file because if its from 90' its proble not that big

 

For future referenses, DO NOT post on my threads unless you can help with exactly what the tread is about. If you don't know then DO NOT post because its really quite annoying. I'm sure no one wants people spamming up their thread.

 

here, i've got help

you have the game installed, so now just download a copy of the CD
and leave in in your c:\drive or something. when it prompts you for a CD, jut redirect it to that file. see if it works

 

Lol what? Where do I get a copy of the CD? I don't have the original....

follow my instructions they are not that hard. if you dont understand than you shouldnt be downloading illegal games.

EDIT: oh and just for referance do not EVER follow mcnuggets advice about limewire. NEVER EVER look up anything but music on limewire since any kind of .exe is most likely to be filled with viruses or spyware.

 

Look up some warez sites (I'll PM them to you) then search your game. It should have an install and a patch.
