Reason for report:
I attempted to have my account deleted from the OPduel platform by following the steps they provide. In their Discord server, they share a pre-written message instructing users to email a specific address to request account deletion.

I followed these instructions and submitted my request. However, after waiting over one month, I received no response via email. Additionally, my support tickets on their Discord server were repeatedly closed without resolution.

What I find particularly concerning is that despite having a clear, pre-defined process for account deletion, I was later told directly by the owner on Discord that they are currently unable to delete my profile and that it may only be done at some unspecified point in the future. This contradicts the instructions they provide to users and raises concerns about whether the deletion process is legitimate at all.

I also explicitly informed them that I struggle with a gambling addiction and requested account deletion for that reason. Their response was limited to suggesting I change my password, rather than assisting with account removal or restricting access.

My concern is that this behavior may violate the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which grants users the right to request deletion of their personal data. Ignoring or refusing such requests without valid justification may be unlawful, especially for users based in the EU.

Given these circumstances, I believe this service may be operating in a way that conflicts with both legal obligations and Sythe’s rules regarding IRL law compliance.

I recommend this be reviewed.
