Explanation of Situation

I performed two large, long-term skilling jobs for Ripe Services, as detailed in the job log below.

Upon requesting my final payout of 3.81B GP, the manager, Raven, informed me that they would only pay me at a rate of $0.13 per m, instead of the current OSRS gold rate (which is currently around $0.15/m). I never agreed to this rate at any point before or during the work.

This amounts to a significant loss of $60-$80 on my earnings, which is unacceptable after the work has been completed. They are essentially creating an extra layer of profit from my labor by enforcing this arbitrary and unfavorable rate upon payout.

Timeline of Events & Communication

Job Period: Work started on May 6, 2024 and was fully completed by September 24, 2024.

Early Payout Request (Over a month ago): I contacted Kale (the owner) directly to be cashed out. He stated he did not have cryptocurrency and directed me to Raven for payment.

Recent Payout Requests: I have asked Raven multiple times to process my payment, but each request has been met with delays.

Current Impasse: Raven is now insisting on the $0.13/m rate. I have offered the reasonable solution of being paid in OSRS gold directly, which I could then sell myself at the market rate, but this has been refused.

My Position

I completed the work in good faith based on the initial understanding of a standard cash-out.

I did not agree to a fixed $0.13/m rate. Springing this rate after completion is a bait-and-switch tactic.

The consistent delays and now the rate reduction are highly unprofessional.

My request is simple: I am owed the full value of 3.81B GP at a fair market rate, either in cash or in gold.

I just wanted to clarify that I’ve posted from my home IP. I’m a services provider, and sometimes I use different internet connections because of speed issues especially when working on HCIM accounts that require a stable and fast connection.

Please note that I’m a reputable person and have been providing OSRS services to several Discord servers for quite some time.

Hey @Zulu , he did reach out on August 23rd requesting payment (mind you this wasn't for the total owed, was for about 1.2b)

I responded same day and said that I didn't have enough crypto to cover it as too many people paid with venmo and to ask Raven (our manager) for payment.

Raven then told him he'd have to wait for me, so I reached out to raven and @NeonValkyrie and basically OK'd Raven to pay him.

Raven then said he'd pay him @ .13/m which he declined and said he'd take .15 or GP. Which I said was fair, however still didn't have enough crypto to cover it, so I told him to let Raven pay him at .13, and i'd pay him the difference (.02) with the little bit of crypto I do have. He hasn't responded to that and made this report instead. I had worked 38 days in a row about 70 hours a week so was very much inactive in discord and just in general.

 

He has not been responsive or responding at all to me. I'm unsure of what to do at this point, but i'd like to get this resolved and get my status back asap.

First of all, thanks for everything. We both discussed it, and now Kale has agreed to pay me at 0.15.
