How to study?

Well I'm not the smartest person in school and I'm pretty bad at studing :/. I was just wondering if people could give me tips on how to study and get good grades, I'm and 8th grader in junior high. If anyone could give me tips I'd be very thankful.

 

FOCUS.
Get it done right away if it's homework.
Get flash cards, and just use them often.
Pay attention in class and get notes
If you don't get it ask the teacher

 

Ya I probably need to pay more attention, also I never do homework could be another reason lol.

 

I find studying after school is too distracting, so I wake up 1-2 hours earlier to study in the morning. When I study in the morning, I rarely get distracted and I complete everything I need to.

 

Just go to a quiet place, and study. Jeez. It's not that hard.

Study, its really not that hard.

 

Yeah, be sure to actually do the work. Unplugging the internet works well...

 

I'd just do your homework when you get home or whenever works out best for you.. I usually get really bored and aggravated whenever I'm doing homework right after school.. I don't know why, so I usually end up doing my homework in Study Hall the day it's due

 

Just read your notes or books multiple times and try to keep yourself from fun stuff before you study. I was a pretty good student and I could control my urges to play video games or hang out with friends, but big advice is don't get into an online video game, one of those addicting ones, that was my downfall, but I finally quit them and I'm good to go again.

You should also do EVERY homework, do not let one go by because it's the easiest grade you can get and if you do bad on tests and quizzes then your homework grade is at least a backup.

It's a good thing you're thinking about grades now because once you hit high school that's when grades matter the most.

Quiet room... a good book on the subject at hand...

Also, reading alone does not help when you study. Have some paper and a pen, and take notes while writing, so it stays in your head longer, and you can go back to it and find the more important information faster than referring back to the book.

 

wow just pay attention. what do you get distracted by aswell? go to a place where there is no distractions. I know the feeling... its a sunny day, you want to go out but you need to study. theres no cure for that... just do your best

 

Try To Pay Attention in Class

When you get Homework Get It Done Straight Away , So you have more Free Time And Less Worrying About

Get A USB Stick Make Some Folders on it With Your Subjects so you can put your homework in the folder Which It Belongs to

If you dont understand something ask your teacher after the Class or something

 

dont fall asleep in class and listen i Ace my classes doing that i do no homework lol

 

Homework is the key to getting good grades. Even if you never get good grades on tests or quizzes, your homework grade can save your ass, and I know this. I'm going to be a senior this year, and doing homework has really helped me.

As for studying, don't cram. Study a little bit each night. If you go through flash cards every night for like 10 minutes, and you do that for a week, you'll have them memorized by the end of the week.

I think it's not that original but my "trick", or simply what I do is pay attention in class, thank God I'm intelligent and get good grades without having to study all day.

Well... if you listen to music while doing your homework you get it done 99.99% quicker. I can finish my 9th grade homework in a few hours and I do it right after school so I can go on the laptop and play RS or talk on sythe. Doing homework helps your grade A LOT!!!, so do it. Studying... well I don't study lol. All I do is pay attention and make sure I understand everything I learn, if I don't my high school teachers are all nice enough to sit down with me at the end of the day and help me out. So just remember what you learn, do well, and you'll own at high school.

PS: High School is a hell of a lot more fun than Junior High!

studying is different for everybody. some learn better when they hear it so pay attention, some use pictures so u would have to draw those on flashcards or something, and some study just by reading and memorizing (which i cant do to save my life). personally.. i dont usually study. ill drift off into something else. but i try to listen
