what exactly is pest control?

ok so I have done all minigames except for pest control, what is it and what do i do and how do i get there?

 

Pest control is a minigame in which teams of up to 25 players try to either defend the Void Knight (almost nobody does it this way) or defeat four portals (and the various monsters protecting them and attacking the Void Knight).

You can get there by talking to the squire on the south dock in Port Sarim.

You should read the Runescape article about Pest control, or do a web search for it.

 

you need to get 50+ hits

 

Well put, there are various types of monsters that do different things. Just experience it yourself and its pretty easy.

 

Port sarim docks is the best way of getting there, talk to the squire and he'll take you to the outpost, once there you can ask the NPCs for more information on what to do.

 

dont forget 40+ combat inorder to play.

 

yea and 2 points per game if won if in low boat

 

you kill monsters and portals and if you win you get points that you can trade for xp in cmb only, or herbs,items,armour.

 

The point is : your (cmb^your cmb)/24 ro something like that

 

a mini game
you go to port sarim and talk to a void knight to get to the island
when you get there theirs various vendors for arrows bows runes foods and a bank
theirs 3 boats where the actual mini game takes place
Noob Boat - 40+ Combat--you get 2 pest points per game here and most ppl are here so u win almost every time
intermediate boat - 70+ combat-- you get 3 pest points per game not many people come to this boat and most of the time you lose here unless you have a clan
OMG 1337 HAXXORS Boat - 100+ combat-- you get 4 pest points per game and most people that are 100+ enter this boat because the games are usually 5mins and 5/10 times you win here making the point gain far more than noob boat(worth while to get a clan)
you can spend pest points on the void set which has 3 helmets which boosts that stat by 15%(Mage by 15% range by 15% and melee by 15%) the only worth while one though is range since you can get better stats from melee str armor and mage armor gives a way higher bonus
you can also spen pest points to get seed packs ore packs or herb packs which gives Ore-Iron ore/Coal(15 random) Seed-seeds(15 random) herb-herbs(Harralander/higher)
you cant use summoning
you dont lose items when you die
when killing portals they will regain hp from spinners which is a type of monster
pc according to some is by far the best place to level skills since you get xp by killing the monsters in there(the xp is halves though(2xp per hit instead of 4xp per hit) and as much as 350xp per point(1400xp per win in veteran)
you also need to hit atleast 50 points of damage in any pest control game to win pest points

 

you must rush into an invading island and take out 4 portals (with a team), if you win then you are transported back to pest control island with about 1k gp and 1 pest control point with can be exchanged for XP or void.

 

Train earn points, use them on a skill/Armour

 

Pest Control is a minigame which you earn points by winning games to buy armour, weapons, and skill xp.

 

you need to destroy the portals before the void knight is dead its a combat based mini game
