Adding Snippets In IRC

What Are Snippets

Snippets are small sets of codes, used in the IRC to do certain things. They are like scripts that give you commands, allow you to use commands, etc. I will be showing you how to add snippets.

How To Add Snippets


Step 1: First you will need a decent website to find snippets, I personally use http://www.hawkee.com/snippets/

Step 2: Find a snippet that interests you, I will be using a simple op control script as an example (you will need op to use this script so to test it you can just make a channel) http://www.hawkee.com/snippet/3238/

Next you will see an Introduction area that will explain what you need
to do and where you need to put the script



Now open your irc and press alt + R and a small box should pop up



Now copy and paste the script into the Remote Section



Then click ok

Then right click on any username and you should see this, like I said earlier you have to be op in a channel to use this particular script so you can just make your own channel to test it.



Then simply click the button and enjoy, this particular script makes it easier to op, kick, and ban people so all you have to do is click a button
