What's the most that someone you know has made off BTC?

I used Bitcoin, sparingly, from 2011-2016 due to getting burned on a large PP deal. It was a bitch to set up back then (or maybe I was just dumb). I remember when BTC was less than $100/coin. I want to say the most I ever had was around 12-15 BTC.

Now, in 2021, I'm kicking myself in the face for not holding onto all of it.

You may certainly keep names anonymous, but I'm sure there are folks on here who made tons of money (and are now driving Lambos) purely on the increase in value of BTC/ETH/Etc.

Know anyone who's made an absurd amount? How much?

 

Very few bought and held. Easy to say that you wish you kept but how the fuck would you know? I had 1000 btc at one point after 4chan pushed it, it was less than 100USD at that point. IF I held and it went to 1USD/BTC I would have sold and taken my 900USD profit.

Only way you longed btc was forgetting about a wallet or somehow saw the value of it back then

That's wild, and no, I definitely agree with you. I'm not really referring to guys who had 1K BTC when it was pennies on the dollar and happened to hold onto it for nearly a decade, though. I'm more so curious to hear from folks who may have bought in back in 2017 when it was a grand or two and managed to really multiply their money.

Sure, very few people had enough foresight to see it going from .50c/BTC to $30K+. However, I'm sure there are plenty who held while it rose from $1K/$2K/3K/$4K in 2017 to what it is now. I know a few of those folks myself.

Sorry this is super late and this thread is dead but I'm inactive so... He streamed under the name "BTC" I believe it was. He basically just bought like 100B a night and staked with it till he got banned.

no one from my friends really bought btc lol prob im the only one

 

I know a few people who bought pizza with btc and someone who used 800 for a flight. Those were definite L's if they knew it would be this price today.

One friend I know invested $40k which went up to $400k. BIG WIN for him.

Man I used to deal with btc when it first came out

still got lots of hotmail accounts with blockchains on them with alot of btc but because it was throwaway emails i made up security info

so even though i know the passwords for these emails i cannot login to them
