How to get the Royale XP Theme for Windows!

Microsoft workers in New Zealand released a new theme called Royale XP. It's an amped up version of the old XP, and it looks great! This guide is to show how to change your theme to Royale XP.

1. Download the Royale XP Theme here. (click)
2. Double click the file, and follow the instructions. Make sure you install it into C:\WINDOWS.
3. Right click on your desktop, and click on properties.

4. Click on Appearance, and go to Windows and Buttons.

5. Select the Media Center Style, and click Apply.
6. Let it load, and enjoy your new theme!

I wouldn't consider this guide as much of a guide, it's helpful, but it's really effortless on your part. But thank you for giving us information which some of us might have been unaware of.

I've had this, and Royal Noir for a few months now.. Its not new.

" During Royale’s development (the XP Media Center theme), the graphic artists also produced a black version of the skin, sans the overused “glass” effect. The result is an aesthetic black skin named “Royale Noir”, it even works with Office 2003.

Since the skin was never released (or reached final adjustments) there are a few issues with it: some of the colors don’t meet the overall “feel” (they’re too purple-ish compared to the greys of the bitmaps) and the inactive titlebars are a little too dark.

You’ll find it’s been signed by Microsoft and doesn’t require a custom UxTheme.dll in case there are any doubts as to its authenticity.

If you already have Royale installed, you’ll need to remove it as both of these skins share the same name.

This skin has not been released to anyone outside Microsoft, until now."

guys, this isn't a hacked version of The default version of XP, its the Windows XP media center edition version of the theme. Microsoft made it and released it with the special edition of XP. They called it "Energy Blue"

 

I installed it and nothing has changed.

 

yup, i got Energy blue for ages I knwo it slows pc as hell , but the wallpaper looks craaaazy !
