New Restricted Opers - New IRC Enforcements

Resident just wrote a loper module, and without getting into too many specifics, it allows a select few to become extremely restricted opers in irc.sythe.org

These new "opers" can do the following:
-kill
-kline
-oper override
-zline
-use of snomasks
-set cghosts

Just be warned, these people will rape you if you're doing something dumb on the server.

So far the following people have LOper:
-Verts

thank god someone posted this for me; I was beginning to think i was going to have to do it myself

anyway, know that the list isn't filled yet, and i'll add some more people eventually; it's a process of selection.

also, you answer to them. don't complain about who they are. i don't care if so and so scammed or is banned. you don't run the IRC and you don't decide who is on the staff. this is not the website; as bans on the IRC are void here, so too are bans here void on the IRC. step too far out of line and you can say hello to an infraction (or three). your opinion is worthless to me.

Interesting. I was wondering why someone was ruthlessly murdered by Fouisgrush himself, a few days back.

 

How many operators are there all together on the irc ?? because more times than not when i go on there is more operators than regular members and it makes me wonder if the irc is developing into one big popularity contest...

 

There are quite a few OPERATORS.. but only a handful of opers (Yes there's a difference.)

 

The operators are like rent-a-cop security guards, while the opers are the real police.

 

Im aware of the fdifference. I just decided here was a good a place as any for me to express my opinion... Which is that there are too many ops.

My issue is that when I GO ON there is fuck all operators from my timezone and subsequently i have to put up[ with the shit noobs talk...

I like the look of the opers though there are at least SOME aussies.
