Explanation of the trade: I sold 2b gold to YanLiLi for 0.425, this was the deal. I chose paypal to receive the money on as crypto was plummeting so that was all good. But I only received $800 out of the agreed on $850. This is when YanLiLi told me they didn't cover fees. They should have told me up front. Also, the money is in hold right now, they say I can't refund the money to revert the trade because they had a customer send me the money directly. This shouldn't be my problem.
How they scammed: They didn't exactly scam but it is bad trading practice. They have the gold, and I don't have any money (yet) + it is less than what was agreed upon upfront.

Extra edit: Action I wish to be taken is for me to refund their money and I get my 2b gold back and I sell to someone else. Or I refund the paypal and they send crypto to me.

I'm now told the transaction will take up to 48 hours. Another thing I wasn't informed about up front.
They say the customer is cooperative but they cant refund.

@YanLiLi You've been DNT'd for now as this is beyond outrageous.

Not only did you not inform @Sjors about fees, delays but most damning of all, you let a random customer pay @Sjors directly with Paypal without informing Sjors before hand. If there's a chargeback in a few weeks/months down the line, it's Sjors that will be out of $800. You can't even accept a refund from Sjors as when the transaction clears, the refund will go back to the customer who has already been paid the OSRS by you.

@YanLiLi You will need to resolve this, please contact this "cooperative customer" of yours and ask them to return the OSRS they purchased, so the PayPal payment can be refunded by @Sjors

 

Quick update, YanLiLi told me to refund Paypal in full and is now sending me no less than $850 in ethereum (they also cover the fee)

 

I received $847 in ethereum. Report can be closed!

Thank you for resolving this quickly, if you can't cover Paypal fees, you should let your customers know before the trades/have this on your threads. You should also never ask a customer to send a Paypal transaction on your behalf because of chargeback risks which you can't control.
