Shoutbox?

Ive seen it on more sites, I think sythe should have one.

pros:
-You can contact every single online person.
-It can reduce spam
-Finding help is easier and only a few buttons away.

Cons:
-Spamming of the shoutbox
-People can try to hack into it(seen that one time)
-Making one

What do you guys think?

i acctually think a shoutbox could be a fun way to get to know everyone on sythe, faster then topic's/posting...
but, to limit it off, maybe it could be shoutboxes for certain ereas? like, 1 for MTA bot etc? would make alot less problems for MODS(cleaning up posts, controlling easyer etc).

 

Would use up too much of the site's bandwidth I would guess. Pluss with 500 active members at once lets say 50 are using the shoutbox. You would never be able to see what is being said. It would be drowned by the mass number of people.

Why need one? Everyone looks at news etc. There is no real need and everyone would spam/abuse.

Same thing. No shoutbox will ever be on sythe ever in its history or in its future.

A) It kills bandwidth, HORRIBLY.
B) It takes away from posting, and kills the stats.
C) We already have the IRC, which any cool person knows is sometimes the place to go (when a cool person is running it of course >.>)
D) Sythe != other sites. We don't take kindly to copying other "popular" sites.
E) Do not suggest cause it's been denied for the above reasons multiple times.

not only that but with shoutbox it is easy to hack sythe.org, i mean look at fagex, they got shoutbox and they get hacked like once a month.

also who would moderate it? we dont have 24 hour staff on sythe so if shoutbox gets spammed or hacked or anything than no mods or admins are online to fix it.

if sythe was a small site and it was like the first 2 months it was up than it would be best to have a shoutbox but considering that sythe is one of the biggest blackmarket and cheating forums it is hard.
