Some kind of staking trick?

So I was range staking today, and I fought this guy 5 lvls lower than me.
First he started off with Rune Knifes p++, then switched to msb spec, then continued with Rune Knifes. I couldnt seem to hit him as hard as he hit me?
I dbow speced, then rune knifed n then dbowed again, but he always had just a tiny bar of hp left. The first time, ok, it was nothing, then we fought another 4 times and the EXACT same thing each time WTF????
How is it possible, he said he had 63 hp at lvl 42, is that the only reason?
I dont get it????????????? Driving me crazy!!!!!

 

Mostly just luck but knives damage stack up quickly just because of the sheer speed of which they attack at.

 

Dude its just luck...With Rune Knives one or two lucky hits is all it takes.

 

would Toktz-xil-ul be better for staking? or msb or god bow (which one?) or should i just stick to rune knifes and dbow and get my hp up?

 

Turn off spec and rune knive all the way
