40 atk pure guide - low crator (members req)

Hello all. ive quit rs and was deleting everything to do with it on my comp. I found this guide a was making for clan but never quite finished it. Anyway here it is.

Making a F2P pure

This guide is set up for creating a new lvl 3 character and having members.
If you don’t have members I strongly suggest you get it if you want to make a pure. if you still choose not to get members I suggest go to http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=513423

BEGINNING - QUESTS

1) Straight to varok dummies, get 8 attack (approx 850 exp)

2) Waterfall quest – is possible at lvl 3
Gives 13750 atk exp
13750 str exp
brings you to 30 attack and 30 str!

3) Fight Areana
12,175 atk exp
brings to 36 atk
(is hiding places so 5-20 range would be perfect)

4) Death Plateau
3000 atk exp
brings to 37 atk
-easy quest and allows purchase and wielding of climbing boots! These are very good as they give +2 strength!!

5) Vampire slayer
4825 atk exp
brings to 39 atk


these quests bring you to 39 attack! kill a few monster’s and stop as soon as you hit 40 atk.

All This should only take a couple of hours and leaves you with 40 atk, 30+ str

advantages of the quests are they bring your stats up quick so there is none of the slow low lvl training and less hp.

OPTIONAL QUESTS – not recommended unless you plan to do any p2p pking.

Desert Treasure – reasonably hard quest, will need decent mage and non-combat stats, must have completed a few quests, importantly priest in peril (therefore must have 11+ pray to do dt). its not worth it unless you plan to do a fair bit of p2p pking, have 82+ mage and want to use ancient magics.

RFD – if you plan on pking members regularly using strength it might be worth doing rfd for mith gloves (best rfd gloves achievable with 1 def). Mith gloves are pretty much the same as combat brace (both +6 str) so not worth getting if you only plan to train. Only advantage of mith gloves are they cost 1.5k and cb brace about 25k.

Animal magnetism – allows for purchase of ava’s attractor/accumulator which is good for training range. However must of done quests priest in peril and restless ghost which give 2531 pray exp.

PRAY

Many options when it comes to pray lvl, the main ones are

Don’t go over 44 pray if you’re a ftp pure, even if you pk members I wouldn’t advise going up to 52. 52 only suits 50-60atk in my opinion. Overall lvl Pray is pretty optional and I think combat stats and personal preferences should determine what to choose. Consider how/where you will be pking, combat lvl and whether more of a melee or range focus.

Quests for pray
1) priest in peril 1,406 pray exp (1-11 pray)
2) restless ghost 1,125 pray exp (11-15 pray)

INVENTORY (for training)

Strength

Head = iron helm
Neck = fury or (str ammy)
Wep = brine sabre or (rune scim)
Chest = iron plate
Shield = zammy book or (iron kite)
Cape = obby cape or (normal cape)
Legs = highest d’hide
Gloves = combat brace
Boots = climbers
Ring = zerker ring or (nothing)
*Green is important
(brackets = back up option)

RANGE

Wep = Knives or Dorgeshuun bow (still good and very cheap =)
Chest = Leather body
Ammy = Fury or (glory)
Hands = highest d-hide can wear
Legs = highest d-hide can wear
Feet = ranger boots or (normal boots)
Head = robin hood hat or (coif or any hat)
Ring = Archers ring or (nothing)


MAGIC

Magic is pretty limited in ftp, I don’t recomend using for combat, reasonably expensive hits low is slow and using staffs risks defence. However mage is still very usefull for non-combat reasons, 32 mage is necessity for bh (locate target) and teleporting around.

1-4 – tutorial island (wind strike)
4-11 confuse
11-19 weaken
19-25 curse
25-31 varok teleport
31-37 lumby teleport
37-44 faldor teleport
44-55 cammy teleport
55+ high alching

TRAINING AREAS

Rock-crabs – head here if your 1 pray, above cammy have 50hp (200exp each)


Experiments – if you have 10+ pray and have therefore done priest in peril. (get into experiments by starting creature of frenkenstrain,) have 100hp (400exp each).

P.C – is ok, need 40+ cb, slower exp but it’s good for keeping low hp.

Range only areas

King luthas training camp – decent place to train range on the orges (remember teli grab runes for rannar seeds etc) get in by completing biohazard quest.

Ranged guild – (40 range to get in) no hp exp but slower range exp.

** when training always use potions, super str is better but if your on a budget normal str is still worth wild, makes training quicker, more enjoyable and is definetly worth the $$.


TECHNIQUE

The best combo for ftp pking is generally strength and/or range. Mage is very limited and no real reason to get it up except for teleporting. Most pkers use some form of range or scim to a melee ko. Range is quicker at getting opponents hp down (exspecilly when there have def) however it's very difficult to kill unless they run out of food or lag. Therefore the most effective way Is to use range to reduce there hp than a melee weapon (generally 2h) for the k0.
Therefore it’s a good idea to have your range and str equal for your combat lvl.
Here is example of having your range and str equal for your cb



the idea is to have the maximum strength and range for your combat, at lower lvls (40’s) range can be higher than str, about lvl 55 range is the same as str, and at higher lvl (60’s) strength should be higher than range.

Haven’t done this for a while so if there is anything I’ve left out/ has changed/ new better stuff tell me and ill add it in.

 

It's a pretty good guide, I'd rate it 8/10.

 

Wouldn't lvl 70 ranged, lvl 56 hp, lvl 1 attack,defence,pray,mage be good for bh'ing? If it is good at lowering oponnent's hp, then why can't it be good at doing last damage?

 

because range is hard to ko ppl with. but when u have a 2her or b axe with range the damage stacks making it easier.

 

I could do ice barrage, hit some hp's with ranged, and KO with strength.

Mage can be lvl 1, but it will change nothing except time on training account and cash used...

Will start making the 2nd account, then the 1st account with those lvls 99.
Low crater people are not rich, so I believe my posted 1st stats will be good.
