Worst/Most Overrated Champ?

Who is the worst or most overrated champ in your opinion?


I'd say Teemo. He is disgustingly overplayed, and outside of the laning phase he has virtually no utility at all. He's single-shot bursted by most assassins, his CC doesnt block abilities or movement, and his shrooms are basically worthless in teamfights. Sure, a full AP/ASP build has good single-target damage, but this is probably his worst part. This convinces idiots to play him and throw the game...

 

No body really plays teemo though. I saw one in gold/plat.
The answer to this thread though, hands down, is Shen.

 

What's wrong with Shen? I agree he's not as OP as his banrate suggests, but he is still very powerful in the hands of a capable player. The reason he is overrated is because Shen has one role, and one role only: split push. He pushes a lane until a teamfight breaks, ults the ADC, then proceeds to taunt the shit out of things. People play him as if he's a badass, when really he's just a very good split psusher.

Btw I'm in the League of Fuckwits, where every other game has Teemo. That, and dipfucks who rage when I ban Thresh instead of Malphite/Shen/Blitz/etc, only to have the other team "snipe" Malp from us and throw the game because he's not OP either. Oh and one recurring ban that pisses me off: Akali. She is OP early game, but she is a killwhore and ends up plateauing around 30:00. After that, she cant even burst one champ down before a pink is thrown and she gets dropped.

 

Shen is an extremely powerful champion if you can utilize his ult to change the moment of gameplay. Darius is one of the most overrate champions, although hes far from the worst champion, hes easily countered

 

I'd say jarvan is highly overrated.

 

While certainly overplayed, I honestly think J4's kit merits the playtime. League is all about the initiation to a fight. A good initiation often ends in going 1 for 3 or even 1 for an ace. That's why champs like jarvan, vi, and hecarim are so popular--and so often banned. Their engages can be deadly, and Jarvan's EQWR combo is definitely one of the best. His ult has a shorter cd than flash, so just wait till you can trap in 3-4 people and the fight is instawon. Sure, J4 dies, but put in some AOE carries like Brand, Lu,x and Twitch, and it's guaranteed game over.

I do agree that he sees a LOT of gametime, even in the LCS where they can use more unconventional champions.

Eennee--I have to agree with that. I still see the occasional Darius ban... It's sad. Just get a champ with poke and enough sustain to survive trades, and Darius is sunk. He NEEDS farm in order to stay tanky enough to even land one fully stacked dunk. Plus, even if Darius does get fed, his chain dunking just means their ADC isnlosing feed.

 

Over played.. I'd say Akali, definatly in bronze anyway.

Jarvan is a slightly higher risk jungle in my opinion. I played him between Plat V and Plat III and found that his level 2 gank/ first blood came very easily. Kind of like a better Maokai he lets people start snowballing while not helping a terribly huge amount himself.

Depends on your perspective. In higher elo (Diamond/Upper Plat) Jar4 isn't as good because people become very adept at dodging his combo. However, in lower levels, his ganks are almost assured kill if you play him right, and in teamfights, he can easily just Ult an ADC and randuins the ADC to shut him down completely.

 

Champions serve different purpose and different roles in my opinion. Say for example, you don't compare Veigar or Cassiopeia (High burst) against an Orianna (High utility). Each champion serves his/her own purpose, and they do it well. Each one has it counters, and each one has its strengths. The beauty of this game is that there's no "Perfect" champion that you HAVE TO CHOOSE OR ELSE YOU LOSE (Except Hecarim)

 

Just saying, Veigar and Cassi are almost stark opposites. . Veigar is nuke burst; cassi is pure dps. But I get what you are saying.

Brain fart moment, but yeah, basically "If you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree..."
To put it into perspective, my favorite Mid is Lux, because I love her ability to delete 1-2 targets off the map COMPLETELY if she's decently farmed. This becomes so clutch if you're sieging their tower, and then catch the ADC from the side, and 1 shot the ADC. That is gamebreaking. However, let's say my team is Shyvana Jung, Nasus Top, Soraka and Graves bot. Then, Lux isn't as optimal as someone like say, Cass, Morg, etc with a hard engage.

With that in mind, I think Worst champion is the new Karma. She is literally Leblanc if Riot decided to Irelia the hell out of Leblanc

 

His lack of gap-closer is a real problem for him, unless the other team has no CC whatsover. If they have a J4 or someone that can keep him locked up, then he becomes useless and melts like butter late game

 

Garen isn't underrated. He's one of the most played champions, and he even has a Recommended tag, to boot. In terms of off-tanks, he doesn't do anything at all other than damage. His silence is notable, but these days the teams have more than 1 caster, so it's not even really that good. Warmogs is also a lot less relevant these days with the new BOTRK upgrade, so that hurt Garen even that much more.

 

Alot of people regard riven as one of the most overpowered top champions. I think shes overrated because despite her recent nerf, which wasn't that bad of a deal to me. She is one of the most balanced champions. I don't think she is the worst champion but I can counter her by buying boots at level 1 and just kite the hell out of her short gap closer
